Wow…love the Hermes colours! Your bags look gorgeous in all lightin 1697562118274.png

Both colours - Rouge H and Bordeaux - are such chameleon colours! They look different on different leathers for different years that patina with their own minds!


Personally, I would be happy with either rouge H or bordeaux as long as it is in good condition! Both are just gorgeous colours.
BTW- I adore the navy Kelly! It would be my next Hermes colour….

I will upload the picture… in different lights….once I receive the bag! Waiting with bated breath….

Please can I bother you with another query?

My bag does not come with a strap. Ideally I would like a vintage strap. Do you think a white canvas strap would work…?although the idea seems abhorring even as I am typing this question! Any merit in considering dyeing the canvas strap? IMG_0891.jpeg

9753465F-7459-4890-96A1-4B4DEC938E04.jpegThere must be a thing about vintage bags that are missing a leather strap. Over time I have bought two that had no strap. One is a 32cm sellier rouge H box Kelly. I found a really nice leather one with in rouge H with studs on the Rebecca Minkoff site many years ago. More recently I found an Hermes multicolor one that I currently have on my toile chevre rouge H Kelly.

I would wait Simply bc I’d worry about the white getting dirty or transferring dye.

Totally agree with this. I think using a contrasting strap makes them more fun. Dare I mention that a couple of years ago, a tPFer on another thread posted a link to an Etsy seller who makes amazing replica H straps like the one on my bag. I ordered a couple to use with different color bags and my barenia. I was very impressed with the quality and after comparing them to my strap in the picture, purchased from Hermes) I would have to say that the quality of the woven portion of the strap was spot on to Hermes. The only difference was in the hardware and the leather piece on the end of the strap.
