Help! Epi Alma or Epi Passy PM???

Passy will surely become a new classic!

I like the Passy, but to me, esp. in black, it doesn't seem very distinctive, you know? It seems more like a generic black tote bag. I do really like the extra organizational features it has, though, the pockets and center divider thingie.

But the Alma, with its very classic, instantly recognizable shape . . . . now, that's not a ordinary black handbag! And yet it's still so roomy and a good choice for everyday.

One other point about the Passy -- I don't like how they made the top portion just plain un-textured, non-Epi leather -- seems like that part is just asking to get all scratched up!

I would be torn too. I am comtemplating on a black Alma or Passy, but I already have a black speedy 30, I wish I had the speedy in another colour. You can fit a laptop into a Passy, don't think you can do that for the Alma. But the Alma looks great with both casual and formal attire whereas the Passy is a little more relaxed.

So if you want something that can go both ways and a little classier look, then Alma. If you want something more relaxed then Passy.

I received my black epi alma two weeks ago and have gotten so many compliments carrying it. Walked into LV boutique in Saks and the sa's were even taken aback how stricking it was. I vote for the alma. You can also get a shoulder strap with the alma if that helps.

Definitely Black Epi Alma with the gold hardware, it is a standout and already a tried and true LV classic style. You can also purchase a strap separately later on if you tire of carrying it by the handles. Very chic bag.
