I recently digital permed my hair and realized it fried a lot of my hair :crybaby: I was hoping you guys could recommend some deep conditioning products.. nothing too expensive please!!

I am not sure if they offer conditioning products specifically for permed hair but if they do, please list them!

TIA! :smile1:

I went ahead with a perm a few years ago even though I was told it wouldn't work so well with my heavily highlighted hair. It looked really bad until I went and got the Biolage Conditioning Balm. Its a heavier conditioner and you can use it as a deep conditioning treatment. I've even put it on my hair and left it on with a towel or plastic cap and sat under a dryer.

It might be that you will also need to get a trim. I don't know about a digital perm but I know with chemical perms it never hurt to get the ends trimmed afterward to help with any damage it might have caused.

Try the Redken All Soft range which contains silk extracts - I've found it to be fantastic at restoring softness and shine to dry & treatment damaged hair (mine is highlighted and heat styled all the time) . They have shampoo, conditioner and an intensive mask. I love it!

Philosophy's Shear Splendor hair conditioner (not the daily conditioner, but the one in the big plastic jar/tub) is amazing for dry, damaged hair. I highly recommend giving this one a try!

wow okay I am going to spend the next few months trying all these different products you guys mentioned, once a week! haha.

Thanks all! I am desperate to get rid of this fried hair. I wouldn't mind doing a trim, but the fried hairs are the whole strand :(

Slightly off topic - OP, if you had to do it over again, would you get a digital perm again? I am debating between thermal reconditioning and a digital perm, and leaning towards thermal recon. I would love to know your thoughts.
