Help deciding a Tiffany engagement ring

Thanks for your input ladies. It seems my initial liking towards the lucida was a good one. I have seen that ring and do like it very much. It will be a tough decision between these and I will have to be a bit sneaky to see if I can find out which of these she prefers. Any tips on getting a girl to look a talk about rings without her being suspicious?

Hahahahahhahahahahhahahaha, probably not. Ask her family to sneak around and find out for you? That's the best way to do it especially if she has a sister or is really close to her mother. :)

I vote for the ribbon and then the soleste. I think they would both be lovely in the .5 carat size. I will note that my bestie is an OBGYN and she has to wear her rings on necklace as she cannot wear them on her fingers during surgery. You may need to consider what type of nurse your gf is going to be as she may not be able to wear any type of ring while working.

I'm also a nurse and I prefer the lucida. When I'm at work I wear my solitaire since its not so "blingy" and easier to clean. Ive heard that hand sanitizer causes the ring metals to corrode but not sure... Good luck though!!!

i have the cushion soleste and i have to say the setting is not low. i'm also a nurse, and i wear mine to work, sometimes i have issues with it when im putting/taking off gloves.

So I went into my local Tiffany's and we were able to source out a .55 carat, F color, VS2 lucida that was in my budget. It was a beautiful ring until I happened to glance over a see a Legacy ring that was a tad bit over my budget but also very beautiful. How would you guys compare a lucida to the legacy? Oh, and the legacy was a .4 carat but I didn't get much other specs on it.

I personally would pick the Legacy over the Lucida, I find the Legacy very feminine and pretty. I had tried a Legacy in I color and it is beautiful. Speak to your SA and find out if they can bring in a Legacy in H or I color in VS2, in the largest size for your budget. Good luck with everything and keep us posted.

I have the legacy and I love it! it's absolutely gorgeous!

Im tending to agree even though I like the Lucida very much. I will be stopping in to see the Lucida that was brought in for me to see and will gather more info on a Legacy. If it can be had within my budget or slightly out (maybe an extra month of saving or so) than it may take the cake and make it to her hand one day.
I'll keep you all updated on what happens.
