Thanks for all the support guys..I appreciate it so much! I was pretty discouraged after yesterday's confrontation and I felt a little hesitant to even take any further action..but thanks to you guys and the advice of some good friends, I am going to file a complaint at Consumer Affairs -Ny branch and BetterBusinessBureau (thanks to you guys!)..and see what happens.. To be honest, although I was tough in the beginning because I felt so wronged against AND they were condescending towards my mom..I felt bad when customeres were staring at us like we were doing something wrong..but it turns out that those customers were their friends hanging around in the store..but I still felt embarrassed..you see, I am usually shy and I never even like to return products to stores ever whether it's a shirt or electronic..but I trully felt wronged against that I had to speak up..and plus it wasn't my own money on the line..

The store owner swung the jewelry around and many diamonds fell out and were lost but they told us to leave the store so I couldn't even pick them up!
For any of you in NYC, the store is located on 37-11 Main St Flushing, NY, 11354. Beware!!

Thanks again for all your help!! Good luck with all of your future endeavors and I will keep you all in my prayers.

Also, I paid in cash. All those small jewelry stores only accept cash. Now I learned my lesson..only go to major dept stores or fine jewelry stores for jewelry!!

after their refusal to fix it or let me exchange it, I told them I would contact Consumer Affairs and they just looked at eachother and hten later on screamed well i'm going to call the police on you..which they did..but I think they were bluffing b/c the cops never came..but at the same time, I know cops don't usually show up to small disputes like this.. so who knows what happened there..

but isn't it odd that a $600-$700 bracelet wouild break in 4 days when I was handling itiit GENTLY???

I stay away from small jewelery stores now because their is no return or exchanges.. In chinatown sf or oakland in my area there are tons of stores.. i never know what quality anything is or if its any good. the only thing i buy there is pure 24k gold (stamped .999) jewelry because i can weight it and bargain with the price.
