That's good to know. I do like those zippers. I am a big fan of MKs zipper designs. He has quite a few bags he uses them on like the Moxley, this Essex you pointed out PLUS, the Newman , Kingsbury and Naomi bags. I love all of them. They look so sharp. I did double check and found they are actual compartments. It is really nice, but I love the buckles on the sides of this Tristan and the folded up lether on the bottom, plus the protective feet. But the Essex is a very nice bag. May have had a shorter strap too, which would have worked better for me. I wonder if it is a chain strap?/

I only know about the Essex satchel since I bought that for my Mom for her b-day last year. It has the shorter double straps to carry as a satchel and a longer strap for shoulder or crossbody. The side pockets are soooo deep you could actually carry a concealed weapon in each pocket lol.
I do have to say the Essex is more casual since it doesn't have all the chain detailing. I do really love the color you got in the Tristan - it really stands out!
My 9mm fits inside but the the leather somewhat shows an outline of my firearm.
You gun totin mamas crack me up! lol! Cdtracing says that is what she likes about some of her saffiano bags, is they are good for concealed carry, as they won't show the outine of the weapon. However, the inside large main compartment, of BOTH the Tristan and the Essex, is large enough to pack a pistol and it would never show. I just use the outer pockets for my cell phone, lipstick and pen, My 380 fits real well inside. My 45 fits good too, but it is so heavy! I like packing my 380. Is smaller and much lighter weight.
My 45 fits in there nicely without showing an imprint. But...I just might have to check out the Essex since it has those deep side pockets!!! LOL
What 45 do you have? I have a Smith and Wesson automatic,and that dang thing is heavy! Isn't yours heavy too? Maybe it's because I am getting OLD! lol! My 380 is so much lighter and easier to carry.Not as powerful, but it will do the job! lol!
I carry a STI 1911 Elektra; has a 4 1/2 in barrel length. It's heavy but not nearly as heavy as my Kimber Pro Eclipse. I'm use to it. I don't always carry in my purse. More often than not, it's on my hip.
Wow! My motorcycle group is raffling a Taurus 1911 Military 45! Those 1911's are NICE!
I wish this Tristan was around... The chain is wonderful! In this case, I feel like I would love the black and ghw 😆.

Yes, they are. Chris & I both carry 1911's when using 45acp, If we carry 9mm, I carry a Glock & he carries the FN Herstal FNX9. We carry 9mm when we want higher capacity mags.

The only thing is they don't have the outer compartment I like and I prefer the SHW, but they really are gorgeous bags. That type was way more expensive than the kind me and CD just bought. They originally retailed over 500.00!! I saw some listed on Poshmark for good prices!
Here's my new Tristan in Nickel. I picked it up from the MK outlet on clearance for $199. Is this color to flashy for everyday use? I really love it whether it is or not...just curious about your thoughts on it.
