First off, thanks Mariah, you're the sweetest. You always have the sweetest and the nicest things to say, and best of all, i know you truly mean every word.
So, here goes my story (as requested by my girls babeviv & mariah):
Yesterday (when he gave me the ring) was our 6th year anniversary together, and when the clock struck midnight and as all the little mice watched from their peep holes, my DBF (DF now) and I exchanged gifts. We exchanged gifts more so the unconventional way, i had mine out and he didn't have his out
, so i guess if you want to be technical, we weren't exchanging. We were sitting on our couch in the apartment and i was wondering 'where's my gift?'. LOL! I even asked. LOL. But though giftless at the moment i knew he wouldn't dissapoint me so i proceeded to be rejoice and be joyful for how God has given us 6 happy years together. So, he opened my gift, i gave him 2 Bibles - yes, one is not enough
. I thought nothing would be more perfect than this gift because he just recently decided to put his trust in the Lord - PRAISE THE LORD
!! He huged me, thanked me, laughed at how i gave him 2 Bibles (commenting on how i must think one is not enough). So, it was his turn. Blank looks. Each mouse looked on from their peep holes. Ok, at this point i was wondering what was going on (i should add that he was acting REALLY weird 30 minutes before midnight, asking if i wanted to go out for a walk to the liquor store next door and buy lotto tickets and scratchers, haha). He told me to close my eyes and he left the room, went into the bedroom and started moving things around (at the end after he proposed when i asked him what he was doing in there he told me this was suppose to be some distraction tactic). He finally came back out, told me to open my eyes, i almost fainted at that moment because he was on one knee with the ring in his hand...and i KNEW what was going to happen. He told me lots of things (i wish i could remember but i was busy mentally pinching myself), but i remembered his first few words and the ending which were, " 'Aqua' (he said my real name), would you do me a favor .......(this is where i forget what he says because my mind had left the building at this point).......God <---- lol, i remember he said something about God........Will you marry me?". And at that moment, i felt like the world was at a stand still, of course i was weeping throughout all of this and i must have paused for over a minute in disbelief until i finally said "YES!!". We hugged and kissed and lied on the ground in our apartment in disbelief for the next half an hour. The End.

He is such a sweet guy and yet still very much a guy guy, (kwim?) with all the distractions he TRIED to create! LOL.Tell him I say 'Hi, please treat Aqua VERY well.' and yes, PRAISE THE LORD that he has decided to place his faith in Him!
