Here's my pics from earlier showing stuff in the Tharpe - I like it because while it's organized you can still see most of your stuff - with the open divisions and pockets. The Gaza would drive me nuts for example because I would instantly forget what was in a pocket and then I'd have to unzip. Also I got compliments from coworkers who never notice my bags.

The Tharpe straps are crazy comfy and stay put well and don't bother me at all when I've had to carry it for a long time.

Sally - one other point for you - I think you take transit sometimes? Is it really crowded? The way the Tharpe sits on me it sticks out from behind me in a way that means if the trains are packed and I have it on my shoulder it gets scraped a bit by people squeezing past. I also don't put anything important in that little side magnetic pocket when I am on transit because I'd never notice if someone took anything out of it.

I have the anthracite Tharpe and absolutely love it. It is by far the softest metallic leather I've ever had. It holds a ton, is comfortable to wear, gets lots of compliments, and is very easy to organize your stuff.

Glad to see it back in new colors. Now I have to decide which one to get. ;)

You guys are KILLING ME!!!!! And I am literally rolling on the floor LMAO. I am virgo too and so that is completely and totally the appeal of the tharpe. I love pockets and organization. BUT - clearly I am an aging virgo with sloping shoulders (shoulder straps slide down and fall off) who walks in rainstorms and rides transit. So that is exactly the problem. Totally attracted to the organization of the tharpie but in order to keep shoulder straps on while I'm walking I end up hunching my shoulders to try and keep the straps on or using another hand across my chest to try and keep the straps up.

Or then I just give up with the sliding off the shoulder thing and start carrying it like a tote. So then umbrella in one hand plus tharpe/tote in one hand leaves NO hands for protecting rain from getting in, juggling a coffee and keys etc etc. Something inevitably drops out of my hands onto the floor OR coffee spills down the front of my coat.

I have 5 havanas and LOVE them - they are so lovely - but I hardly ever wear them. NEVER wear them to work because of the shoulder-sliding problem I described above. I only use them if going in the car or going somewhere where I don't actually have to carry them for long distances. Lorcas are the same - I use them for dinners, times when I'm not walking far etc etc.

So - I think I'll just continue admiring the tharpe from afar. While dreaming of the perfect organizational bag with a cross body strap. MZ Wallace and M0851 are masters at this kind of bag.

On the other hand....maybe I could get a tharpe in a summery colour and just carry her when it is sunny out and I don't have to juggle an umbrella. Thoughts?????

Sally the only other advice I can give would be to maybe try one out and buy an inexpensive one from bon or like you suggested try a fun summery colored one to use when it's sunny outside.

dmc - that's perfect - actually I think those are the shoulders I need for the Havana. I do hope they add some Tharpe colors. Bitter Lime and Candy Apple woudl be drool worthy

YES!!!! I need the shoulder pads to come back in. That is the perfecto solution.

And MB - yes - there are candy apple tharpes for sale. I thought of you immediately....
