My sister pitched such a fit when the nurses told her they needed to take her false nails off that they gave in and left them on. She is a diva, how did you know? It was miserable having her here for a few days of recuperation!

Umm - looking after a princess/diva - not so much fun. The issue is that it jeopardizes her own health. If they can't assess oxygenation via nail beds it might potentially delay treatment. Brain damage from lack of oxygen vs pretty nails.....
