SNAD !!!!
OMG - you hotties are not going to believe the "perfect" condition my Hudson came in - let's just say it came with its own little friend too - a FREAKING LARVAE ATTACHED TO THE BAG ALIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have pics too... ugh. the bag is in pretty banged up shape - i would consider keeping if she refunded 1/2 my monies - i paid $147 - but the front under the pocket is pretty messed up - but i love the bag itself needs some major TLC - she said it was in perfect condition - right... sure... ugh i hate this.

OMG LARVAE :sick::throwup:

Wow, pursegal, that is super gross.

Three pics attached. The first shows the pink food crusty stain. The second shows the black marks on the corners of the 3 compartments of the bag. The third shows a water stain of some sort.

The seller quickly replied and agreed to refund my $. She said she would clean it and relist (I don't think the black marks will come out, but Doctor Purse Lady Bri might disagree with her magical purse rehab whispering skills). But this means I'm out 30$ for the shipping (15$ to me, 15$ back to her).

What do you guys think I should do? I'm tempted to ask for 50% off. Do you think I'm likely to find another one in better condition someday? A friend of mine paid about this much for one in new condition from the Bay a year ago. I'm so annoyed. I don't have the time right now to be shleppping stuff to the Post Office unless it's for my awesome RAOK BUDDY!!!:yahoo:

Jan, I'd look to have some money refunded and then keep it if you can clean it up a bit on your own.

PG...   I.HAVE.NO.WORDS. Other than, get that thing out of your house quick!!!!!!!

I'm sorry Jan that the bag was not what was described. Hopefully Bri can comment on if she thinks the marks can be cleaned up.

And PG, yuck!!! You'd think the seller would have noticed that packing the bag, just like you noticed it when received. Shame, shame, shame!!:nono:

Jan - if it's a HG - I'd ask for 50% and see what she says.

PG - I agree with cho - get it out of the house. In the meantime put it in a sealed plastic bag - there might be other creepy crawlies hanging about. Or hatching. YUCK!

I would put the bag for a few days outside if you live somewhere cold. It'll kill anything else in the bag. Seal it tight though. (that is only if you are comfortable doing that...)

Jan- I sold mine for the same price as you got yours. Mine was in almost mint condition. I would ask for a refund but I wouldn't ask for 50% I'd ask for 30% off the price that doesn't include shipping. It looks like it can be cleaned. I wouldn't risk having to try and find that bag again.

PG- That's just nasty! perfect condition my a$$. I'd get a refund stat and leave the bag outside in a trashbag to kill those suckers!

Jan,
I think that this bag can be saved. (I don't know what to do about hatchlings, other than to freeze/suffocate them, and thank God you do not have critters!) As far as the crusties, I think those can easily be removed. With this leather (where it doesn't appear to be dyed) the Lexol Cleanser would prob. be the best bet with a small, soft toothbrush (75 cents- VERY SOFT ONLY), cotton swap for crust removal, and a small rag. For the black stains, I would try the same potion in circular motions, with small rinses (clean wet rag only, in between session). For the water stain, use the lexol as well, but BLOT and swish only, then rinse. Where this leather is not colored, I think this will make a HUGE difference in your chances to improve this. I am pretty sure that it will work on all of it, minus the black corners only cause I can't see the stain really well. Make sure that you do light rinsing sessions with a very damp, clean rag in between cleanups. It might take 3-4 little elbow grease sessions.

I would def. ask for funds to pay for the Lexol. If it cleans up well, the Lexol conditioner in small circular motions (not heavy on the spray) will protect it from drying. Thank goodness it isn't suede, colored, or other goofy leather.

Thanks everyone for your awesome feedback.

Seller just wrote: "I'm sorry but we do not offer partial refunds on any auction. I'll let you know when the bag arrives and refund you promptly."

Shiitake. Now what to do. :-s:shrugs:
