Stuck indoors because we got another 16-17"" of snow. More coming over the weekend..and even more next week. I am not a happy camper. :censor: Dangerous time for theraputic/recreational shopping for me. I'm also a scarf lover-user-addict.
I've seen all the scarves IRL so perhaps I can offer some help. Please check with CS just to make sure that there were no further changes in the fabric type before you order.
The
Ave Maria Day Scarf is heavy sandwashed silk square (or is it a rectangle..I do not have the exact dimensions in front of me. Lush and silky. Colors are soft and dreamlike..it would work well with almost all complexions. Fold it into a triangle and either wear it as a cowl neck with the point in front and knot in back. Fold it into a rectangle, tie into a knot, wear it around your head as a headband. You can fold back either side of the scarf which forms a bow and make it into a rolled flower or keep it as a bow. I keep the knot right under my ear so the bow/flower shows. I also use them as head wraps and belts.
The
Ave Maria Night Scarf is silk chiffon. Semi-sheer, gorgeous colors, vibrant without being neon bright. Drapes beautifully. Very easy to fold, tie and use in many ways.
The
Magic Leaves is also silk chiffon. It does have the appearance of being lit from behind even when it isn't because of the perfectly selected complimentary colors, especially the citron which gives the effect of light. I'm not sure how it would work with cool tone skinned/blue eyed, ashey colored hair HHHotties but it would flatter anyone with green/hazel/brown or even grey eyes and warmer skin tones.
Caveat..it is really small..smaller than some bandanas. It would work as a headband, tied around a pony tail or bun, as a bracelet, tied onto a purse or folded into a pocket, and perhaps as a choker but it doesn't work for those of you who want it as anything more.
I have fun with my little scarves. I wrap them around a Joey Cuff, or twist them around a chain bracelet. I also thread them through opposite ends of a link necklace and tie the ends in a bow. Makes the necklace a bit longer and adds a pop of color. It looks fabulous.
The
Magic Violin is also small. It too is made from silk chiffon and is semi-transparent. Gorgeous in spring and summer. This color story is a bit more flattering to a wider ranage of complexions. Colors are a bit more neon but not screamingly so. Same use as above.
I also tie all my scarves around the crown of my straw hats where they meet the brim..only during the summer.
Umm...can you tell I love scarves?
My problem??? I want all of them. But the NYC tax addes a hefty amount of $$$ to the total. Do I purchase now..or hold out for a free ship code?? I know I will regret it if they sell out..I'm still mourning the Mystery Scarf.
HTH...I'm really on austerity but I was doomed from the moment I first tried on these scarves..slightly OT..DD's and DS's flight was delayed by 5 hours. They are coming into Newark. I can't wait to see them..which will last about..oh..48 hours max when they begin to pull attitude cuz they are chafing under our scrutiny after being on their own for a month..
