I returned a Paddington hobo bag I purchased from NM. ... It also had a silver zipper on top, while all the other hardware was gold. That really bugged me. So back it went.
That drives me crazy! There are several Chloe bags that I like, but the mismatched hardware drives me absolutely insane. It's obviously a design choice, but in my opinion, it really cheapens the look of the bags.

I was considering exchanging mine for a different color once, but decided to keep it.

I think that if you have second thoughts on a purchase it's not a bad idea to return it, unless it was limited edition or very hard to find. :D

When I get my act together, I'm returning my small Luella Suzy tote. I bought it online, and unfortunately I couldn't tell from the picture that it's not an open tote like I thought. There's a zippered center divider which I could live with, but it also has one of those flappy magnetic tab things across the top of the bag. I hate those. And, because of the padlock and looped straps around the sides of the bag, I thought it would be adjustable to make it more open and tote-ish. Well, it's not adjustable.

For the money I spent, I've just got too many issues with this bag. I like it, but it's got to leave my house!

I bought it from Saks online, but I'm returning it to the store. As soon as I do, I'm hoofing my 1100.00 credit down to the Saks LV boutique to see what kind of trouble I can get into.

I totally admit that I've returned purses--all unused. Once I got them home, tried them on with different outfits, etc., I realized that the bag wasn't very versatile, or too bulky, too heavy, or just plain old not me...

Just in the past couple of months, I returned a Burberry Prorsum bag--loved it but realized that you can't wear patterns and carry a plaid purse... Then I tried the Stam, but it was too bulky. Next I went for a MJ Ursala hobo--but too structured and not very attractive. Finally, I got a green/black Mizi Vienna, but something about it was "off"--I wasn't in love... Geez, picking a purse is like dating!

But I know "my it bag" is out there...

lol! couldnt agree more. i've had the biggest crush on the belem mm and when i finally, got it . we just didnt hit it off well .;) am so happy i was able exchange my unused belem to a cerise pouchette and a saleya pm.

I returned an ananas sadie (small) which, although was very beautiful, was just too small for my needs. I am hoping that my hayden harnett hobo works out better. BTW, I am anxiously awaiting the hobo's arrival and would really like to hear from anyone who has purchased one.

I purchased and instantly returned a burgundy Luella Gisele bag to net-a-porter.com last year.

I had seen a gorgeous picture of it on the arm of a Milan fashionista in a glossy magazine...but when I took it out of the box I went     and sent it straight back!!

It was huge, hard and industrial looking, not to mention very hard to carry!

I bought a fendi cognac spy bag last summer and returned it and later on in the year i was regretting returning it so i rang my sa in fendi and he tracked me down a spy in honey which i think is fab but in reality i just did not have the feelings that i should have so the bag went byebye all the way back to fendi

A chocolate Balenciaga City and only because there was a flaw on the stitching. I was afraid it will unravel since I'm not one to take care of my bags. I was so sad to let it go since it was one of the last three in stock at NM that time.

I also admit to returning bags. My biggest reason is that I found something I loved so much better. One was for a defect though.

Recently returned the spy satchel for the spy hobo. Then returned the hobo for the Chanel tote. I'm happier.

Then returned the YSL Bow bag and Black Spy for the Mizi Vienna (much better investment).

Returned the Silver MJ Blake (although, I will probably get it again with my credit from MJ) for a Bottega.

All in all, I'm happier with the end results.

Returned a Kooba in Espresso which was a really good deal, but I had wanted the luggage, and got it, and paid much more, but I buy very vew bags . . . . or at least I did until I found this group
