Have you customized your bag in an invasive/more permanent way? Pics Please!!

[Damnation]

So a recent post on purseblog which features an LV Speedy with patches on it made me wonder if anyone here has customized their bags like that? Doesn't necessarily have to be patches, could be anything you've done to alter the bag or other customized add ons/paintings/monograms etc etc. I'm thinking of customizing a couple bags of mine and looking for inspiration.

I painted an orchid on a navy vintage bag (let's just say of any flower it looks most like an orchid). Somewhere there's a pic but photobucket blurred it.

I glue. I glue, stud, rivet and dye vintage bags. The gucci clutch was the first one I ever did. I would love to get something off the ground in terms of a business.
It's a "hobby" not my job, but I have so much fun doing it.

The first one those are vintage pins and rivets. That I had a Coach Craftsmen add the lightning bolt, tiny stars and the little tea rose. Everything else is a vintage pin. A total collection of things I love/ symbols to me.
It's also my avatar.

I’m a purist. I like my bags unaltered!

. I've seen ladies do some AMAZING restorations of older vintage bags. Their natural beauty is gorgeous. And I applaud them.
For me, I like to create and make things bespoke. It's therapeutic.
I think that is what makes tPF such a neat place - room for all handbag lovers!
