Has Hayden Harnett's ever been faked?

Ive never heard of fake HHs, or seen fake HHs in chinatown, NYC- which is the fake handbag capital of America. (Im there every weekend eating dumplings at my favorite restaurant!)

this is a old thread but Kooba is made in china, same price point as HH and highly faked. Same with Coach, bulga etc... So we Hotties should be careful when making purchases. Eventually HH will be faked to.

I own two HH prototypes that have no identifying marks at all to show that they are unique to HH. Both are featured in the Fall '09 lookbook. Other than the fact that I bought them directly from HH it would be difficult to authenticate without directly contacting HH should anything like this ever pop up for sale or auction. The labels both says Sample, not for resale, made in China.

As the public becomes more aware of HH, I too wonder how long it will be before someone counterfeits. I have no idea how their bags are produced or whether they own their own or have their own runs but that too would factor into counterfeiting. So far, nothing has shown up in NYC where counterfeits are easily obtainable.

I would think it was only a matter of time.

I've been to Shenzhen, China, which is pretty much the counterfeit capital of the universe. You actually see people with tearouts from magazines showing the market-holders what they want. You'd expect that if they are asked about it often enough, they would cotton on to the demand pretty fast. Especially if the factory is local.

I am a bit :shame: to admit I've been there. But I didn't buy bags. :D It's a scary place.

Hi girls,

I just found this thread and wanted to post a question about an HH Handbag I bought last month. I don't post on here that often, but I have an album posted to my profile, if you can view that. Free free to friend me on here if you'd like to see the album but are unable to. Thank you.
