Has anyone read this purse blog?

I’ve seen people rebuked by admins for not being sufficiently “welcoming” on tpf and yet the blog publishes this drivel knowing it will cause upset? Really? What on earth is the point in that?
This! I have seen these comments from mods!

While I personally don't agree with her attitude and opinions (and knew that many of our readers wouldn't either), this didn't disqualify the CC from being published. I have a few confessionals lined up next that are a lot more wholesome.
Then what did attract you to this extremely judgemental non-forum member’s story? I seriously thought, they are running low on submissions or, drama sells.
I have made a comments in posts to the effect that I just don’t feel drawn to painted canvas, but would never say someone’s choice of them is unfortunate. I even volunteered I get that people don’t get my love of hand bags made from baseball glove leather. Why? Because I really enjoy the sense of openness and community here. We all don’t have to agree, but it’s respectful here.

@Vlad I saw your response in another thread. I come here to tPF to relax and would gladly bypass controversy. I have the upcoming election in 2020 for that. I have to deal with judgement in my every day life without having to deal with in a community where I come to relax.
To be clear, I don’t feel judged by her comment about Coach per se, don’t know her and don’t care. But someone posted , well, there are judgemental people out there in the world.
Really? Do you think somebody missed that memo? Thus a need to showcase judgement?

The internet, and the world, are both full of people who may rub us the wrong way. Not everyone agrees with everyone else.

This is not the first time class issues have come up on tpf. This is a topic that comes around now and again. There is a very wide cross-section of people here. Most people here are very nice and respectful of others. Sometimes, some people are not so nice.

I think the best thing we can do is to be secure about who we are, what our standards are and then just carry on.

I'm not going to let someone like this ruin my day. Shrugs.

She is young still. She still has a lot to learn.

Sometimes people are their own worst enemies. Life can be hard for people like that if they don't learn.

I have no hard feelings towards Vlad for publishing this. I am all for free speech, even speech I don't agree with. If I don't like what is being said, I don't have to read or listen to it.

If someone looks down on me because of my station in life, that is on them.

My reaction is to shake my head and laugh it off.

Just saw this post too. I am sorry you took such exception to what I said but I am not sure what I did to draw such ire.

I was debating on posting on this, since I don't usually discuss my income etc. I honestly don't understand her philosophy on brands or what is wealth. I buy Chanel, LV and Hermes, but I also buy Coach. I like Coach leather. I think she believes that once you get into a certain financial bracket your material things should show it. Well I have news for her. I am where I believe she wants to be and I enjoy buying Coach. I don't care what she thinks. I like going to the boutique and getting an outlet deal when the opportunity is there. Buy what you like and don't let shallow people dictate what brands are more worthy than others.
I agree with this. By her logic, Bill & Miranda Gates (and all other individuals) should be decked out in designer labels from head to toe.
They aren't. Just because you're rich or successful doesn't mean you need *branded* material things to show it. I actually envy people who've done well for themselves who keep investing their money, rather than spending it on material items. I strive to cut down on my spending, but I find it a bit of a challenge sometimes.

If there's a non-branded bag that's beautiful and I want it, I will still buy it.
