Has anyone gotten an ear infection from VCA earrings?

Something else to possibly consider (in addition to getting the clips loosened) is to get the posts changed to the long thin ones. My ears would bleed when wearing VCA earrings for multiple days in a row, but this resolved once I got the posts changed and clips loosened.

Is the long thin posts available from vca? Would u happen to have a photo? Thanks

No I don't sleep in them. I think the tightness really causes the ear infections somehow. My right rg vintage alhambra earring sometimes looks a little droopy on my right earlobe, so I tried to use a silicon pad to prop it up a little. I ended up with an ear infection within two days!
Yup my friend had the same issue with her Onyx Vintage Alhambra earrings too. She said they were so tight that it made her ears bleed. She eventually had them adjusted at the boutique and now she has no issues.

I finally had my right frivole earring loosened by 1mm; but now find it a little too loose. Didn't want to have to send it back again so soon for a readjustment, so I just inserted a little silicon pad behind the ear clip. It feels very comfortable and I haven't had any ear infections since!

While I find the omega ear clips very secure, they are really inconvenient when it comes to adjusting for the perfect fit. Also, I dropped one of my guilloche earrings once (it wasn't a bad drop) and the spring mechanism in the clasp snapped just like that! Had to get it repaired at VCA but my kind SA was able to waive the repair fee for me. These omega backings sure are fragile.

I'm a new VCA owner :) I have been having a problem with my recently purchased Vintage Alhambra earrings. Every time I wear them they are too tight and leave a mark on my "fat" ear lobes. I had them delivered, unadjusted. Is there a standard width they set the earrings at? How do you tell the boutique how much they need to be loosened? Do they only do 1mm at a time until it is perfect? Sorry if this sounds silly, not sure the best way to go about it. I love them but can't wear them :(

Hi I purchased the Magic 3 Motifs set in white gold with MOP and chalcedony. I usually only wear yellow gold or pink gold. The earring on the right side triggered a metallic taste in food and my lymph node swelled. I took and Advil and was swollen for two days! I did not return the earrings - I am very sensitive and have never worn white gold in my ears. Luckily my body got used to the beautiful earrings.
