Has anyone ever lose their happy diamonds on a Chopard piece?

my Chopard Happy diamonds watch sits in the vault! its 13 yrs old ~ has floating diamonds ~ 2 diamond bows on each side of face & a bow at the closure of pink
skin band...very unusual but way too delicate/dressy for everyday use...
i would still try calling Chopard directly about the lost diamonds from your ring!
should not have happened!

I wasn't told either- I just read it in the booklet that comes with the ring and then heard about it from someone else who had problems with theirs. It's ridiculous that they sell rings that you shouldn't get wet!! I'm glad you got it negotiated down to $300.00.

I read the booklets that came with both of my rings, and neither mentioned anything about not getting it wet? My two Chopard watches are water-resistant, so I assume that's not a problem? Now I'm going to be paranoid about losing the diamonds... :(

They called to say it's ready for pickup but after reading here I told him I felt that at that pricepoint the ring should be covered as this is a defect. Had the front glass broken I'd take responsibility but not the back plate slipping off. He said he knees little about chopard and would have a specialist call me. Will keep you posted.

UPDATE:

I went to pick it up today and the SA told me they gave me a new one. I believe its new because they're issuing me a new certificate which will be mailed, same as when I bought it. It looks fabulous!

I did pay the $300 but I didnt argue it since I got a new ring.

Yay good news!

This is not the first time I hear of Happy opening up and diamonds get out, unfortunately it happens once in a while.

Glad you got a new one!:smile1:

The backing of my ring just came off again. My husband got the ring at the Chopard store so the first time it happened, they fixed it for free. That's when the SA told me that I'm not supposed to get it wet. After they fixed it, back in May, I can't believe it happened again after 6 months; especially this time I was so careful to keep it dry (always take it off when washing my hands or showering). I agreed with the other ladies that if I'd known about this water issue, I would not want this ring

The back panel of my Chopard floating diamond ring fell out so i lost the floating diamond.
The Chopard after sales rep just called to tell me it will cost $800 to fix....and my ring was still under ther 2 year warranty.
After reading this forum, clearly they don't have consistent pricings for fixing their rings, and even if I pay for it, I can't trust that it won't happen again

This just appeared to me as well!
I bought a happy diamond ring from Chopard and after only 4 times of wearing te back plate cell out and the diamond to, but i was extremly lucky to fond both glass and diamond. How could this happen? I did not even got close to water with the ring.

I spoke to Chopard and they say they will repair /reseal it for free, but can I trust the product? Seems like a qualityproblem to me. I love the ring but I am seriously thinking of recall the purchase.
Still, the ring was expensive.
