Hi,
I just received my black on black Swagger today, and just like another poster in the Swagger clubhouse, mine was packed with the handles down. This has resulted in u- shaped handle imprints on the sides of the bag. It was not in plastic and the foamy protective stuff was not on any of the hardware except for the inside zipper. There are some scratches on the hardware and a few on the smooth leather trim, but my main concern is if the imprints will relax out of the pebbled leather. I thought ordering would get me a bag that was straight off the shelf in perfect condition.

Are there any suggestions to help get the imprints out?

I remember having this problem ordering from FOS. When I returned it, the SA said that is how they always pack them, which isn't true because I have gotten others that were fine.

You could try hanging it in the bathroom while you take a hot shower. The steam might help. I think there is a good chance it will go away in time anyway since it is pebbled leather.

Thanks so much, I will try that tonight. I love the bag otherwise, and small scratches on the hardware and smooth leather will not be enough for me to return it. But those big U shaped creases are very obvious and annoying.

I had the same problem when my Swagger was delivered last week. Indents just like yours where the handles had pressed into the leather. I tried the steam shower method, but no luck. I then moisturized the bag, and warmed the leather carefully with my hairdryer, making sure not to get the hairdryer too close to the bag. I rubbed the crease with my fingers while the leather was warm, heated the bag again, worked on the crease, and did this several times over. I then moisturized the leather again, and stuffed the bag with towels. I repeated the process a few times over the next two days, and the creases are 95% gone.

Hope this helps. I know how upset I was to see my beautiful new bag creased like this!!

Jesssh and Sallymaree-thank you for your suggestions. I will try that tonight, after the steam shower. I called my nearest store, and they only received 1 black on black, so I don't think I want to drive out there for a floor model.

What are they thinking shipping them out this way....

I know! My delight turned to horror when I opened the box and saw the bag in this condition. I am in Australia, so there is no way of returning it unless I send it back, and the cost of postage would be enormous. Luckily the hairdryer method worked. The indents on my bag were exactly the same as yours, so I think you will be able to get them out. Good luck.

Oh I haven't checked in on this thread. I started carrying my black swagger on Monday and I don't have any creases on it anymore. I think it took a day or 2 of use. I didn't condition or anything. I keep forgetting to do that. I am worried about a lighter colored bag that is coming.

I just received my new black swagger and I have the same problem!! Should I return it? It's beautiful otherwise, but it was packed with handles down and now has a huge smiley face shaped indentation on either side!
