Handbags is that these can actually flatter the shape of your body, provided that you know the right one to pick. If you get the right one, you would be ecstatic to know that it could certainly flaunt the best of your body's assets.Shoulder bags can actually be a surprise package. Firstly these can carry quite a lot of your stuff.

I used to only carry shoulder bags. I liked how my hands were free. After I had kids I couldn't wait to get into a satchel. More as a symbol that my kids were older so I didn't need both my hands free. For awhile there, I was switching back and forth, but now I'm almost exclusively satchels since my shoulders can't handle the load. I really don't carry much, and prefer small bags, but my shoulders get sore by the end of the day, so I made the jump over to satchels exclusively. Some of my bags do have a strap option, but I rarely use it.

^^ agreed! this is true.. :smile1:

I like a satchel that has a strap that can fit on the shoulder if necessary ...or an extra strap. Something that is strictly hand-carried doesn't work for me.
I second this. I love convertible bags that can be "elbow" bags or shoulder bags. I really dislike anything that won't go on my elbow and must be hand carried. I do have a few shoulder bags too, and they are very useful when shopping. :graucho:
Clutches without some sort of wrist strap bug me as well as big bags. I am a medium convertible satchel kind of girl...who likes a nice Coach Maggie every once in a while.

I have not seen the Maggie in person. It looks pretty. I have not seen it in the Coach store at all.

I like both satchels and shoulder bags. Depends on my mood and what activities I am doing for the day. Have just recently started to appreciate bags with cross-body straps too, so convertible bags with multiple options are my new faves. The only styles I don't generally use are clutches and wristlets. Just not my thing. No matter what style, though, I must have multiple pockets, including at least one outside. Always.

I like both, but generally I prefer to use shoulder bag because it looks classy and I am able to carry it well. Recently i bought a shoulder bag for a party from Saneswap.com. The quality is good and its reasonable as well. Saneswap has a huge collection of bags including satchel bags, shoulder bags, clutches and many more.

I carry both, depending on what I'm doing. Cannot commit to doing one or the other - if I had to choose it would probably be shoulder/crossbody. Most of the time I prefer to have my hands free, and of I have a bag that's got both short handles and a long strap, it's on my shoulder 95% of the time. So much easier!
