HI!
I had the setting custom made in Chicago. It's great but not so perfect but will do for now. There are 4 prongs holding the stone in place, now the halo part doesnt have the prongs, my jeweler created a small basket that sits beneath the halo and that is is the part that holds the stone up and in the middle of the halo.
As for the delicate band, not really sure exactly how thick it is, but based on my wedding ring (2mm Plat), you can tell that it's thinner than that.
This is my wedding set....I chose a Yellow Sapphire, as I also wanted a colored gem-stone!
dont mind the finger prints all over the stone...it was soooo dirty when I took these!
I have the SAME exact setting!! don't you just LOVE the split shank with halo? imine!
i will as soon as I get it..(chose it myself and got it set but FH is still NOT giving it to me!! boo!!)
teaser: it's a 1.5ct F color VS1 very good cut GIA center diamond with the same setting as yours. ok I will post pics when I get it.. probably end of jan!! might even be end of feb, there's a whole ceremony related to it in my culture![]()
Sounds beautifullll!!!
While hes sleeping sneak some pics of the ring!!
Down the road we are either going to put a diamond or yellow diamond in mine. We figured we would start with the yellow sapphire and decide later in life what we want to put in it, or keep this as a right hand ring and upgrade down the road!
wish I could!! but we don't live together LOL
your yellow sapphire is gorgeous!! I totally think you should keep it that way! I really want a yellow stone halo as well, so I was thinking perhaps get a cushion and a halo setting but a single shank next time.
perhaps you should get a cushion cut diamond so as to have some "variety"!!
OMG now I really cant wait to see my ring!!![]()
