I gat a ring made by Leon Mege this summer......love the center stone, love the setting........ but I got the DSS already...:graucho:

Initially in the process of having the setting made, I asked Leon about adding a Halo to the setting I have now. Leon said it will be cute (I don't know why he chose the word "cute", but I'm sure if he hates the idea he would've let me know), but considering the size of the center stone and my finger size, halo will hide the side stones, so we agreed not to halo the ring.

Now, I feel like I want the halo...... I don't know how much it will cost to add halo to my existing ring, haven't contacted Leon to get a quote yet..... but wanted to hear some opinions of lovely ladies here......

i LOVE halos (i just had mine reset with one) but i dont think that stunning rock will look better with one ... i think its perfection and the sides are what gives the interesting detail ...

On a second note, I'm considering tiffany sola halo necklace, if I keep this setting.....

LOL that he said "cute"! He doesn't have a real way w/ words :D He likes halo's except on rounds for some reason so I'm sure he's happy to add one to yours!

HOWEVER, you have what he's superior at, no one does French cuts like his. They make that ring as special as it is. I think a halo would compete. I wouldn't change a thing - it's already perfection!
What about adding a blingier band?

Have you shown these pics before? I didn't remember you having a LM.
I am DYING to get mine!

no halo for the current setting because it will make it bulky. but i can see it in a different thin micropave halo with straight thin band similar to the HW ring

WHOA, that last picture took my breath away. The detail on the setting is amazing!! You definitely do not need a halo - it will definitely detract from the beautiful sides!

I can't believe I didn't remember this was yours! It's stunning.

I e-mailed Rachael yesterday to get an update and haven't heard back yet, hopefully tomorrow! It's supposed to be done "second half of Jan".

Holy mother of all things blingy! Your ring is amazing & does not need anything! If you are itching for a halo setting maybe get one for a RHR... My ering has a halo and I also want a RHR with a halo like the Tiffany blue sapphire Legacy ring!!! :cloud9:
