I’m respectfully questioning this Cosmographia Universalis due to photos that appear to show discrepancies in colors and trademark. Other examples of this CW online are consistent with TPF FW2019 example. The auction is underway with 13 or more bidders and set to end about 4:30 am CDT.

You’ve got great eyes! I agree with your assessment & think this is a pretty good replica. Sadly it sold for almost $400 incl. shipping.

I received a fake Tapis Persans mousseline today. It was bound to happen with all of my ebay purchases, and I hoped that I would notice if something was off. I'm working on a return now, but posting some photos next to my real one. The first thing I noticed was the lack of crispness in the printing of the fake. The fake is located to the left or below the real Tapis Persans in the photos. The sellers photos were blurry enough that I wasn't sure before I bid.

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear this. Did you notice any difference in fabric texture or weight?:flowers:

Lucky you had a another for side-by-side comparison! I recieved a fake Twilly once and eBay was swift to accept return. :smile:

The fabric felt exactly the same, which surprised me. There were two small pulls near the edge, but I suspect that can happen with real scarves too. The hem was hand sewn, but was slightly wider and not as perfectly even as my two genuines.

Others listings I’ve seen from this Seller seem good, but I haven’t looked at them all. It could just be that Seller got fooled on this one. Definitely submit anything you’re interested in to the authentication thread to be double sure. :smile:
