I am surprised to see so many fake scarves being sold by Japanese resellers? I thought due to Japan’s taking fakes so seriously that penalties and fines are heavy against companies who don’t sell authentic luxury brand merchandise?Another fake Le Pegase d'Hermes:
seller: japanmegamall

And finesse style in a gavroche.Yes it was available in 140 cashmere/silk
Me too. Many of the fakes outed here seem to be sold by "mega" sellers who have many hundreds of items. Maybe they don't authenticate when they buy "in bulk". Would be interesting to know if these sellers have a brick-and-mortar outlet where fakes can be more easily spotted.I am surprised to see so many fake scarves being sold by Japanese resellers? @lanit and @xincinsin also - This is so disheartening. Some of my favorite sellers are based in Japan, and I have always been fairly confident buying from Japan in general. I wish we could revive the "trusted eBay sellers" thread.Well, that reference to japanmegamall answers my question about dealing with them. their eBay profile says US-based but their reply to inquiry stated in Japan now.

I buy from several Japan-based sellers regularly. I think you just have to be careful, no matter where the seller is based. I usually pass on those sellers who are iffy or have strange partial photos. But I don't write off sellers if they happen to have one fake. They probably get conned too.@bunnycat & I recently discussed Japan resellers in PMs. She’s had great experiences with several and I’ve been fine with my three transactions; however, I see sooo much CR*P that even a newbie can recognize as such that I instinctively recoil at Japan listings. Hopefully, that’s just my ignorance pendulum swinging too far in other direction.
