Hall of Shame: Post the Ebay H Fakes Here!

A word of caution regarding The RealReal. Hit purchase super quickly on a Noel 90 cm, only to realize it was a bad fake. Received it, and fake without a question. When I questioned the cw, TRR at first tried to say it was authentic "because we've sold this colorway many times before" :annoyed::shocked: (which seems like a particularly terrible excuse for a fake cw).

After I pointed out the many inauthentic elements (regardless of the cw), they agreed to review it. I fear they rely more on the buyer's due diligence than their own experts who supposedly handle each and every item. Any Hermes collector who touched that scarf would know in a heartbeat it was fake.

Anyway, just wanted to post in case TRR chooses to list it again for sale. Don't be fooled like I was! I'll be more careful in the future too!

Interesting, since TRR emailed me asking for submissions and I turned them down, citing fakes I had found, and others noted here. My observation is that they sell enough to the unsuspecting that they don’t really care about their reputation among the cognoscenti. Thanks for posting the latest transgression !

I hope it’s ok to ask this question here.......

Is there an online authentication service that will authenticate a Hermes scarf?
I’ve have done a preliminary google search but no luck.....i’ve found utube videos explaining how to do it yourself.
I just want to pay someone that knows.

There is an authentication thread here on TPF for Hermes scarves which I see that you've already posted and asked.

You must have misunderstood my post entirely.
I”m not talking about the service here. I’m aware of it and what is allowed to be posted.
I’m asking about a PAID service for Scarves that are not on ebay - they are in my possession.
The authentication thread on tpf does not authenticate scarves that are not in an active listing.
......or at least that is what the 1st post in that thread states.

I am sorry. I was not aware you were trying to authenticate a scarf that you have as it was not conveyed clearly in your post so I did not understand your intention.

Hopefully other ladies can assist as I am not aware of any PAID scarf authentication service. Sorry for not being helpful.

Several companies will do it, but I always choose at least 2 to make sure I get the same result. My two are usually Authenticate4u and Lollipuff.
