Hi, there is a good possibility that this is actually an authentic wallet; not enough pics to tell 100%, but I wouldn't report as fake
Please ask for it to be authenticated if you are not sure. I believe that wallet is most likely authentic...though worn.

Hi, nycshopa! This is actually an authentic early veneta but with a later dustbag
M_FB is absolutely correct... that is why authenticating BV is not quit as easy as you think nycshopa. Lucky thing that you reported here before you filed a report with ebay.

The early Venetas are harder to authenticate, nycshopa, IMO. They look like a contradiction of details compared to what we've seen the last several years where the linings, tags and font are relatively consistent. I can understand why you thought what you did.

Well, I cannot tell from this listing whether or not it is authentic because there are not enough pictures provided by the seller to make that determination. It is premature to file a report on this listing. If you are interested in following through on this, request the required pictures and bring them back to the authenticate thread so that we can determine the authenticity. If it is not authentic (from the photos) at that time you - and others can file a report.
Just to make a point... BV is not quite as easy as other bags to authenticate... we need to see all the markers to make an informed decision - even the best of us! It would be very unfair to cause an unjustified removal of an authentic item and a black mark on a seller unless you are very certain that it is a counterfeit - and I cannot tell on this one. Please err on the side of caution.

I'd like to weigh in here, too. BV is one of those brands that is quite difficult to authenticate. Even though I have been studying them for years, I will frequently defer to Baggiana, boxermom, doloresmia, and Miss_FancyBags.
What looks like a fake is often not because certain authenticity markers were in use for short periods of time and then changed.
We really have to be careful when determining if a BV item should be reported to eBay. None of us condone fakes. However, a couple of incorrect reports can put a big black mark against somebody. Think of how you would feel if that were you, or if you damaged someone's reputation. This is why I stay out of it. But I can help to report if the regular authenticators say so.
Please refrain from reporting an item as fake until a regular authenticator who has experiences with the intricacies of perplexing details is involved. Thank you.
