Can somebody authenticate this BV for me?

It has been the policy here to not offer authentications for sellers. There are a number of businesses that provide that service for sellers of designer items.

My intention was to ask for opinions about whether this bag is a 'fake'. It's clear that this is being done through this entire thread. I seems this is the place to report fakes so I'd like other opinions.

This is an open question for any general member 's opinion as I know there are no actual authenticators here at TPF. I didn't ask any specific individual to answer my request.

It's back!

title: $3K Authentic Bottega Veneta Nappa Roma Moro Brown Bag

LT bag lady this is my item for sale and it is authentic. This is the second time someone from this forum has unilaterally proclaimed my item a"fake". The first report said 'scary good fake"... with others adding in with comments like amazingly good fake. It may look like a scary good fake because it's authentic and is being wrongly slammed. I'm requesting a withdraw of this error.

Look at my items and feedback, and you, or anyone, can see that my items are authentic and exceptionally well received by my clients. The most recent items for which I've received feed back are a cashmere and a camel hair Max Mara coat each costing my buyers over $2000. Both of my highly experienced buyers offered absolutely rave reviews. Several expensive dress and bag buyers that should be offering FB imminently.

I understand, you process evaluation of lot of bags here and you are not actually Authenthicators, so mistakes can be made, it's understandable. This report is not only incorrect but damaging. I'm requesting you withdraw this statement please.

Kind regards~
Manhattan Consignment

If I can see clear, close-up photos of both sides of the entire authenticity tag, I can give you my opinion on this bag's authenticity.

I stand by my original opinion of that bag based on the pictures that were posted at the time I gave my opinion. Do you have a receipt for this bag? Did you purchase it yourself from BV or an authorized BV reseller?
The current listing does not have the required pictures for an opinion to be rendered.

Without seeing the authenticity tag, I am loathe to comment, but from what I do see, it is entirely possible that it could be authentic.

LT - I have seen flawed/damaged authentic BV's.
The seller listed a number of fake BV in that batch. When sellers mix fake with authentic all credibility is lost in my opinion. I was haste to call this one a fake and retract my opinion on that Blue tote only.

Yes, I saw that LT. I was only commenting on the blue tote, too. In order for me to decide on the authenticity, though, I have to see clear, close-up pics of the front and back of the authenticity tag.

Ok, I know this isn't new and I can't read or even see the tag very well. My question is about the straight across weave--was that used in vintage BV? I'm accustomed to seeing it on the diagonal.

Boxermom - I've seen a few vintage BVs like this. Certainly we'd need better pics, but my guess is it's authentic.

Boxermom,
I agree with Miss_FancyBags... this very well could be authentic (have seen this orientation of weave in the late 90's), but would need better pics of the authenticity tag, etc. to say for certain...
