Beautiful jewellery! I ask DH who loves jewellery and dressing up.

He said yes the watch would look particularly good on the lapel of a thick tweed jacket or a fine dress suit.

I say wear your beautiful pieces, you have them and it would be a pity if they stayed stored away in the dark.

Would live more pix please?

Thank you. I agree and share the same views. I will try to post more pictures soon.

I feel beautiful jewelry and clothing is meant to be worn and enjoyed... I don't know how many people buy something expensive and because of the high financial cost, they attempt to preserve it by seldom wearing it or telling themselves they will only take it out on special occasions... only to have years go by and realizing it was worn very few times, if at all.

Pendant watches were historically worn by women. I have tried to find examples online of men wearing them (past or present) but have been unable to. I thought to myself however even if it isn't historically correct and is breaking the rules, who cares... I mean, who really sets these rules anyway and why would their ways be any more correct than yours or mine? Right?

It is funny because I noticed my staff looking at my wristwatch the other day... The Rolex I recently purchased. It is marketed as a Ladies Rolex simply because of the size. I asked her - looks nice? She replied, it looks like a Women's watch. I then asked, well, how is a Men's watch supposed to look like? She replied by showing me the watch on her wrist...

Here are photos of my Grandmother's pendant watch. 18k yellow gold case with diamonds and enamel.
The watch was made in 1888. I recently had it serviced and it keeps great time.

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the forum and first I wanted to say how great this place is! There is so much great information everyone is sharing, its so helpful! I'm glad to have joined =)

So I have a question and I would love to hear some opinions. I am a young guy (mid 20's) with a very small build. I'm 5'5'' and have pretty skinny wrists (probably about 6 inches). Because of this, I've never really liked to wear men's sized watches. Most of them are too big or clunky for my taste and even mid-sized can be too big for me. I have always felt that ladies' watches are a good match for me size-wise but have always been hesitant to wear any for fear of people thinking I'm strange!

My girlfriend has a handful of watches, some of which I really like not only for her but for myself as well. I don't feel any of them are too feminine looking (no diamonds etc on them). I was wondering if I could get any input (particularly from the females on this message board) on how they think these watches look on me. I have two pictures below showing some of the watches I like and how they look from far away in proportion to my body size. I would really like to start wearing them but I need to know if they look good first! If you would like any other pictures let me know, I'd be happy to share.
Thanks in advance!!!

Watches are:
Fossil Blue AM3581
Tag Heuer Links WG1322
Seiko 7n82-0251
Coach 0313
Citizen Eco-Drive (not sure model)

One day I would love to get a Rolex 31 Datejust Two-Tone for the both of us to share!
I think you should wear whatever you feel comfortable it! But I'm old and at the point where I wear whatever I want with no explanations or excuses.

The close ups made them look more size-appropriate but seeing them in a full-body shot I tend to agree that they look a bit too small for you. I think a mens 34mm would be good. I also think sometimes this takes getting used to. Some watches are uncomfortable to wear because they are chunky, but perhaps, as someone said, a larger, but slimmer profile might be the right combo.

Good luck and of course, all this being said, wear what you like! Nobody is paying much attention to it like we are.

All of them look PERFECT for your wrist size!

That being said,
paired with your baggy clothing, they look horrible!

A watch is an accessory that is meant to compliment (or be complimented by) one's attire.

So, if you are going to dress like you are dressing (the baggy/oversized look) I would definitely go bigger on the watch size...

HOWEVER, if you are going to dress like you stepped out of a JCrew or Zara catalogue (hopefully this will be you) with more form fitting clothing, then stick to these beautiful watches! :-))))))))))

Last time my father visited me, he was wearing a TT watch with crystal bezel. I could swear it was only a 31 but not sure. I'm pretty sure it is a women's watch but he loves it and he is 90 years old so he can wear whatever the heck he wants, as should all of you guys. It's what "you" like:smile1:
