It must be difficult but he must also be used to it - his mother does it after all. It's not like the entire family went alcohol free once she got sober. For NYE you could see he drank Red Bull (
) while the others were drinking alcohol.

I'm at bars too but last weekend was my first hangover after 8 or 9 years (and that was at a wedding). Your friends can get drunk and you still can just drink water.
That's true, but most recovering alcoholics don't hang out in bars to tempt the gods. I think someone compared it to walking through the Chelsea Flower show when you have bad hay fever. It just doesn't make sense.
