I'm confused as to what qualifies as an 'Employee Sale'

I worked for FP Coach & none of my bags were ever stamped after purchasing. No ES, no stamping ever. In fact, I don't believe we even had such a tool around

Could be a new change though
I think it was something they did a long time ago. I don't think it was done recently. We've seen the stamps in items from the 90s.

No, it's a very old mark. They probably stopped using it some time around the mid 1990s.but I'm not sure of the exact date. And it could have been stamped before being offered for sale to the employees, and maybe just at certain locations such as the NYC plant or office. What years did you work for Coach, and at what kind of location?

Hi.

I'm not a designer bag collector. But I got this one Coach as a present yearsssss ago, and I believe it is authentic (due to who gave it to me lol). But I never knew the name or value of the bag. Yearssss passed by and I feel like letting it go since I only used it maybe once or twice a year, or not at all in a year.

I dont know where to start so hopping I can get you guys' input on this bag i.e. name, value if it's still worth selling etc.

Thank so much in advance!

Your question should have been posted in the ID This Coach thread.

The first post in each Stickied thread often explains what the thread covers, and what can and can't be posted there. Please always read that first thread before posting. We know the forums can be confusing but if you check the first posts and the actual titles of each thread they usually explain what's covered.

Authentication requests and questions are handled in the Coach Shopping forum under Authenticate this Coach.

We also don't give values for any items, that information can usually be found on Ebay by searching for Completed listings and checking the actual selling prices of the same style number. Unfortunately there's no recent record of sales of this style which is from 2008 and called a Woven Editorial Zoe. Apparently the original price was $798.

That style was often discussed here at tPF:

http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/woven-leather-editorial-zoe-339360.html

and if you use the Search feature at the main Coach forum page and search for and select POSTS for "woven editorial zoe" you'll find a lot more information. There are 134 posts that mention those 3 words.

Thank you so much for your explanation. I'll go through the post now since I finally know the name of the bag after years of hoarding it.

Thank you once again for being very helpful.

Questions about an item's authenticity should always be posted in the Authenticate This Coach thread in the Coach Shopping forum. Please read the first post in the thread for a list of what we need to authenticate a Coach item. This thread you've posted in was meant as a reference source. (Often the first post in a thread especially a Pinned or Stickied thread will explain the purpose and restrictions of that thread.)

The listing you posted indicates that the seller has a total of 4 SIMILAR but not identical bags. They're obviously using the same set of photos for all 4 listings so there's no way to know which bag you bought or which photos are from that bag. Even the price tag in the listing only shows one specific color combination, the Signature C pattern version which isn't even leather (it's PVC-coated fabric) and wouldn't have the same style number as the all-leather versions, even if the supposed "Suggested retail price" is the same. The Sig version is style 35940, the all leather one looks like style 36063.

So we would need a full set of photos of the bag you actually bought including the front and back of the price tag and of the tiny white fabric tag that Coach hides inside one of the inside pockets - look or feel along all the seams especially near the bottom of the pocket, the fabric lining should be loose enough to gently pull out and photograph the little tag. And please post the details on the last page in the Authenticate This Coach thread after reading post #1. Thanks!

Just to add - Coach sold a LOT of those 2 styles judging by the number that are listed on Ebay, so the chances are good that yours is genuine. And with a lot of newer styles a 100 percent doubt-free authentication is almost impossible since Coach has eliminated one detail in their purses that we depended on quite a bit when authenticating.

Hi! I bought my first Coach from ebay - crosby carryall. But after reading the posts here I am starting to question its authenticity. It doesn't have serial numbers in the creed patch. But when I look at the other crosby carryalls in ebay, they all don't have the serial markings. Does it mean they're fake?

Sometimes things change so information in older posts may no longer apply. Coach changed their creeds about a year ago. The serial number is now on a label sewn inside the pocket. If you have any doubts, you can post pictures or a link to the listing in our Authenticate thread here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-sh...oach-read-1st-page-before-posting-889527.html
