Guess which Balenciaga Leather Cuff is the real thing?

For sure the POUPRE is the authentic one. I was just on Balenciaga.com (US site) and they have a POUPRE CUFF available. I think they only have one, so grab it! Good luck. Thanks for your post.

wow it's scary how we haven't come to a consensus yet! :wondering
i couldn't tell the difference from the first couple of pics!
i was looking for the poupre one which I wanted badly but it's all sold out... :shucks:
if the poupre here is indeed fake, i might have to think twice about looking for it online... if at all.

Could the serial # being different be a quality control issue? Highly unlikely, I think.

I think we have seen some inconsistencies among the bags and accessories these days.
Such as the font they used to imprint the numbers on the leather tag of the coin purses - I still remembered when I got a 2008 coral red coin I was surprised to see the different type of font of the imprinted numbers.
Then I remembered some tpfer's regular works (from 2009) have feet some don't. And the discrepancy of the first and second set of serial number on the back of leather tag. As far as I recall, those are confirmed to be 100% authentic.

I would like to clarify about my previous post - I am not saying which one of the bracelets the OP posted is authentic. I'm only providing all the information I have of my own bracelets for references.

Wow! This is so interesting. I'm on here an awful lot getting information but I am always so busy, I can't post so much, but this one made me jump up and get my camera!

I'm just going to give my opinion and say that they are probably both authentic. I completely agree with clarimond about the inconsistencies among the bags AND accessories. And, as a fan of older bags, I know that things like this have been happening since the 05 season! I own an 05 Magenta Shoulder that caused quite a stir on the "authenticate this" thread some time ago, ...the holes in the decorative buckle were punched out bigger than most, but it was deemed and IS authentic.

Maybe the black bracelets do have a different serial # , but it is probably just poor quality control.

I know you have to be careful out there, but no two Bals are the same. At least they finally solved the "dried adhesive" problem!

Here are my pics of my Black Bracelet I have been rocking everyday, it was bought at Neiman Marcus and I am certain it is authentic even though the serial # is indeed 225277 480199 M

Hi - once again I would like to thank everyone for all your posts. They have been very helpful and I am sure that we have all learned a lot from this thread. Just an update on the situation - I have returned the black cuff which took forever to get back to the seller. I mailed it on the Feb 17 - arrived at US customs Feb 19 and stayed there until I don't know when but the seller only received it on March 1. Seller refunded my payment and so everything is good for now  Best, bbaglady

Thanks bbaglady!!

An update - I bought the anthra giant bracelet from the Hilton boutique to save me the hassle of finding and authenticating one in red online (not avail here)

sadly, it doesn't have a serial no. on the back of the cuff, just a very faint Balenciaga paris.

Instead, the serial was on a transferable leather tag looped to the bracelet... :(

Cutting costs perhaps! But I'll live with it!

Wow, so close looking. My first thought was the red was real but then remembered reading about the notches and what they should look like so I guessed black. If they were not close together I probably wouldn't of known though.
