I can't believe how high their prices are getting. They are making LV seem like a good buy, and frankly inching into a level I'm not sure their brand can sustain. But what do I know? Maybe they will continue to trend?

I'm liking trying to buy everything now, but then I think "what if nothing increases?"
Prices will definitely increase tomorrow on 9/29, just not everything. I ordered my soho disco in red today, and asked the SA what else was going up. She mentioned dionysus and the small marmont, but even she said they wouldn't know until tonight when it's updated in the system.
Everyone seems to be buying the Disco like crazy because of potential price increases. I was under the impression that Soho anything had been discontinued. Shouldn't they go down in price or be the next outlet line? I have already seen a lot of them at the outlets
The Gucci SA told me that the soho disco non-tassel style will continue. Have you seen the black, red or beige tassel style at the outlets?
I guess we'll know tomorrow what actually increased.
I was just about to say nothing went up because I was checking at 6:00 am EST...now it's all live. I just got something weeks ago that's now $20 more expensive so that's nice. I personally don't think a crossbody with pebbled leather that has no extra details needed a price increase...
Hmm my Dionysus with crystals went up 200 dollars.. I hope the prices don't go up at Nordstrom as they sent me the wrong color.
WOW -- I'm in the US and there are so many increases across the board. My padlock went up by an extra $100, the Soho Disco is ridiculously up to $1190, the wocs seem to be up by about $50... seems like everything got hit, even by a small amount. Glad I bought my first Gucci just in time, but sadly makes me wonder if it will be my last? If this keeps going like this, not sure I can justify it...
We all know the prices for everything aren't justifiable to begin with, honestly, but when I look at the prices in comparison to YSL and LV pieces of the same line, I can see what they're aiming for. If you look at the cardholders or other small accessories, they're now in line with Saint Laurent, so Gucci doesn't seem like an "entry" level for luxury items. The bog standard keychains, though...I won't even start on that ridiculousness because I'm trying to enjoy my Friday. Sales and pre-owned for me going forward, I just don't like anything that they have *that* much.
OMG the Brixton went up by $100 and now they are $730 - same price with the Jordaan. Good thing I have been following this thread and bought my pair earlier this week for $630.
I hate when brands do this. I like Gucci because they have "affordable" full leather bags compared to some other luxury brands. Now that they are so hyped they increase the prices...
The outlet SA will call you if they get Disco bags. Usually it's something one off from retail that comes to their shop. I got a call last year for orange or the pink ones that were part of Black Friday styles
I don't think Gucci meant to position themselves as an "affordable luxury" brand though. They've just been slow with their price increases because they kinda went out of style for a few years. It's kinda like Prada now, they're not that in right now so they don't increase their prices much. Gucci is super popular now so it's expected that they increased their prices. YSL did this a few years ago when they were riding on the Hedi Slimane wave. I remember I wanted to buy a YSL clutch, and within a few months it went from $750 to over $1500.
