Ughh why?
Inflation is finally plateauing. (Not going down but not drastically getting worse.) I think I’m going to Google Gucci business updates and see if I can find any reason. Did they change suppliers etc? Did they increase quality of the material? If not, I’m gonna be offended. lol I hope they’re not trying to pull a “Chanel” price increase just to make it appear more “elite”. I appreciated Gucci for its commitment to being such a unique luxury brand. Pieces are already priced high enough for their quality level. If someone had the bright idea to raise prices for no good reason I’m going to be so disappointed. People still and will always love well known lux names but we are also exploring and educating ourselves and appreciating brands such as DeMellier for their quality without the high markup. Gucci should tread carefully. Instead of random sneaky price increases, showcase WHY your items should be priced higher and I think we would accept it more.
Hmmm the Blondie small shoulder bag aka new Disco is now 1550 euros - last time I looked, it was 1390. 🤯
Wow, they have had a quiet increase, at least on some items. I had originally tried on the medium BTP at the very end of March and it went up by 100 between then and when I purchased it in September. But since late September, it’s gone up another $200. A medium Jackie I had taken a screenshot of has also gone up by $200.
I think they're being short-sighted and silly.
