@papertiger I couldn’t agree with you more. I enjoyed the movie for comic relief. But definetly did not enhance my knowledge about Gucci and the Gucci family.

From the Greatest Dancer by Sister Sledge
Gucci was a buzz-word for cool and sexy, even RTW, long before Tom Ford
He wears the finest clothes, the best designers Heaven knows
Ooh, from his head down to his toes
Halston, Gucci, Fiorucci
He looks like a still, that man is dressed to kill
Halcyon disco days of yore...(insert sigh)
Ps Your whole review is spot on!
ETA: Jared Leto ruined this movie for me, overacting, etc. He gave me a headache
100% to all of this!!!For someone that is literally a Gucci ambassador, Leto obviously has no respect for Gucci and its heritage. I guess that's what happens if you get everything for free and the CD is in love with you. I know Paolo was not an easy man but he had no sympathy for him. He couldn't have done any research and he didn't care to.
Jeremy Irons was even worse IMO, a walking cliche that dropped his entire 'disguise' every other sentence. Perhaps he only read the script the evening before, the performance was so bad it made be embarrassed on his behalf.
