The latest Gucci menswear collection is out:

Bell-bottoms, blouses, lace, and flowers. I guess I won't get getting anything Gucci for a while.

Michele will probably excel at a fashion publication as a stylist, but not as a designer, because nothing here looks designed. It just a mish-mash of pieces, namely traditionally women's clothes paired with men's pants.

Yup, it's just styling. And the clothes are not fitting the models even in a oversized/shrunken way.

I get his references Nudie Cohn and the whole postmodern-original Gram Parsons thing and my BF fits the profile, but he's not happy either so who is this new Gucci guy.

I am going to start wearing my better pyjamas and dressing out in public more often though :D.

With looks like this one it's just as well he knows how to design handbags....

:-s hate to say it but I'm not sure he does :push:

Finally get to add something, and it's not even for me....YET!! stay tuned. Hubs loaded up on Gucci this weekend...strike that, I loaded up on Gucci for hubs this weekend!! Chicago must love us. Got him sandals, that I haven't taken a pic of yet, and the following: [sorry, don't know the names of the items, only descriptions]

Diamante travel bag

Red Guccissima wallet [he saw this when we were in DC, been crying for a month because he didn't get it, and someone had purchased it by the time we returned to the store the next day. and I walk into the Chicago flagship store, and guess what hits me in the face...this guy]

Congratulations! Love that wallet, lucky, lucky guy

I totally agree!

And even then, I don't know if he knows how to design men's bags. I thought he was the general accessories designer before. The new men's bags which look like paper bags with the Gucci logo are stiff and unappealing. The logo is too big on them; I thought visible logos were no longer fashionable, especially with clients looking for discreet luxury.

The messenger bag with the GG logo is okay, but it's nothing to write home about. It has a raw unfinished look to the leather, which can end up looking cheap because the edges of the leather pieces look a bit frayed.

Hate the leather G U C C I shoppers :pout: I'd happily buy the heavily embroidered one though.

As for the messenger :wtf: :pullhair:

thx PT. also wanted to make a correction. Chicago is not a flagship store, just a boutique. AND they have amazing sections at Bloomies and Saks as well.

I kind of like the embossed bags, for the right occasion I reckon. like maybe a casual shopping day, or running errands. the tell tale would be the price. I do love Frida, I must say, so far, still can't figure out why she's gone :-(

I really like the first coat, but not feeling bags. Although I like the embroidery of the GG tote. But it not enough for me to feel entice by it. But the collection feel underwhelming like LV latest men collection.
