Have you tried spraying your bag with a leather protector? I have a nude marmont camera bag, and I only ever wear black jeans - no colour transfer at all
Ohhh I haven't, I didn't know that was a thing you could do! What brand would you recommend?

Have you thought about taking your dionysus to a cobbler to have the chain shortened? You could maybe add O rings in gunmetal that matches the chain metal at the base on each side and let a bit of length hang behind the bag.
I haven't because I don't have a cobbler I trust enough for that :p Have you seen people do that, or done it yourself?

I personally have never cut a chain but I have taken one apart before with the correct tools and reattached. Crafts are my THING so i already have the pliers i need to take something metal apart without totally destroying it. I have also seen several posts on TPF where someone was having chain length issues and either cut/dismantled the chain themselves and reattached or took the bag to a trusted cobbler to remedy the too long chain problem. It can be done but you have to research cobblers in your area. Take your Gucci in to a shoe cobbler and see what he or she can do. BTW, ask for the extra chain that was removed, it can be added back to the existing chain if you ever decide to sell. I'm not sure how this works as far as your warranty goes so you have to be positively sure if you go this route.

Thank you so much for the information! I'll have to take a look around the forum and read up :)
