Gucci disco soho or LV pochette metis

i have both bags and they are both great. The PM has been exchanged once due to glazing issues. I find the PM to have more room and can be nicely organized b/c of the various compartments. The disco is great for nighttime use and when i don't want to bring my cosmetic bag with me (which fits into my metis). I don't have any quality concerns with the disco.

Well they have a new emp version which looks amazing. It is on my wish list! I have some pretty aggressive financial goals this year, so maybe I can budget for one next year. If emp leather is out of your budget I still vote for the disco for sure. If the canvas didn't have so many glazing issues it might be a tougher decision.

They're both really great bags. I travel light so my disco carries all my essentials and it's very comfortable. The only issues I have with it is how it buckles in at the top when I'm wearing it crossbody and something about the placement of the strap, my bag has flipped over a time or two when I picked it up. Still it's one of my favorite bags.

I like the compartments on the metis and it holds a little more than the disco. Plus it's easier to find things. I know a lot of people had issues with glazing and things. I have the infrarouge and *knock on wood* haven't had any issues yet. It's a gorgeous bag and I like that I can wear it different ways, change the strap, or carry it by the handle.

If I had to only pick one, I would probably choose the metis. I like how carefree canvas is and I like structured bags more

I love the emp Metis but I am worried about durability. I have a speedy emp and I hardly ever use it (because it is heavy) and I see the wear already (not major but it there). I also have the twinset/twice and I got some color transfer.

I am thinking the reverse Metis because it is a little different but I was thinking the disco is so cute. So hard to choose... I have always been an lv girl and trying to branch out (got a ysl).

I had the Pochette Metis and sold it after only about 5 months. I found it to be a bit too large for my frame and it was boxy. As stated, the interior divided compartments limit how much you can carry. My Alma BB's hold more and are a more flattering bag on me. I recently purchased a Soho Disco in Camellia and I love it! The leather is beautiful and the bag holds quite a bit. It's comfortable to wear and looks very understated, chic and elegant. I'd choose it over PM. Good luck deciding.

The weight of the leather vs canvas is probably fairly notable. That's too bad your emp speedy is already showing wear. How so, is it the edges of the bag? I've always wanted a emp bag but I have yet to go over the 2 K mark yet and am trying to keep it that way :p. I was thinking that the emp Metis might be the one I break it for. I'm not too big on what they have out now black or red would be my top two choices. But I'd really like a nice raisin (a real purple not the pink that they dubbed as raisin a season or two ago), or a aqua/mint blue green, or even a dark evergreen color or charcoal grey. So tired of season after season of pink. I wonder how the weight of the emp metis compares to say the PS1.

Breaking away from your go too brand is always a challenge. I was the biggest Bal girl for a long time. I eventually tried other brands and I really enjoy having a big variety of brands now. As time goes on your needs change and bags that you liked in the past really don't suit your current needs anymore. If you're still unsure maybe it's a sign that the disco while a great bag isn't the one for you.

Soho. Too many issues with PM in canvas and I really don't love compartments anyway. I feel that the PM empreinte won't hold its shape and may have wear issues so will avoid that also.

Yes the edges and also on the bag it looks a little scraped. I had three lumineuse because of cracking issues before I gave up on it.

I also have the same question. I had my heart set on a PM for the Spring and have put myself down in the waiting list at LV. But then at Gucci the other day I thought, why pay the price of the Metis when I can get a smooshy leather fool-proof Disco in rose beige? It is such a perfect summer color I realized. The thing is, I already have the Soho Disco in black. So on the plus side I know I like it and that it works for me. Against, I may get bored plus the PM is more versatile. I love the look of both.
