Alt, go to #2564 on July 10. Look at that red disco. Look at the top half of the insignia, then left side. See where the letters come together and make an inverted longish V. count the stitches. Compare to yours. That is all I know. I am NOT any authenticator, but really wish I knew more. When I bought mine, red for my daughter and black for me(and this was from MyHabit, part of Amazon, but now out of business, they had said "from a trusted supplier" or some such thing.) When I received them, I compared to my patent one, and even had my husband examine(with a magnifying glass, no less) and we could not find ANYTHING that looked different. Of course, I could not compare leather with leather, to see if it felt different. I felt 99% sure they were real. But still uneasy. The what ifs... Then someone posted one on this thread, and someone else asked where it was purchased, somewhat saying it may not be authentic. So again I examined the bags, and the number of stitches was the only thing I felt told me I might have super fakes. Myhabit did take them back, although they had said non returnable, which was unusual for them. I had purchased many items from Myhabit, considered them very reputable, but, I think their "trusted independent supplier" may not have been so trusted.

OK, Alt and Juditharm--the real has 13 stitiches, other 9. Alt, YOU are brilliant to be able to get the two pics side by side. So I am sane after all!
