Gucci bag authentication services

TPF may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, and others

As @snibor mentioned, we used to offer authentication help through our official Authenticate This Gucci thread. We had official authenticator volunteers and many many requests.

Unfortunately, it can become almost a full time job. All members come to tPF to have fun and learn, but if someone is just constantly doing one thing it can get tiring. We only closed it because there were not enough reg doing the authenticating.

At the end of the day, only paid professional service counts legally for disputes anyway.

@TitaniaWilliams is correct, not many people authenticate Gucci well. There are so many models, lines, eras, only someone who owns many and through the years can make sense

What year did this change

Sadly, the paid-for one I used to recommend no longer does it.

I would be interested too. As others will know Gucci forum doesn't have an AT Gucci thread at the moment, and more importantly, authenticators on tPF are not a substitute for a paid-for service that offers recognised legitimacy in the face of any dispute.

How do I get ahold of bagaholic101 for an authentication???

Please see above.

Do not get in touch with individual members to authenticate, this is against our rules :rtr: .

In order to have verified authentication for any possible legal recourse, you must have paid authentication from a professional business.

This thread is to discuss and recommend possible paid-for ( as in professional) services that are reliable Gucci experts.

Hi everyone. Not sure if this thread is heavily trafficked anymore, but if anyone has a recommendation for a reputable authenticator, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m eyeing a bag on fashionphile - that I’m pretty sure is legit - but just wanted to confirm!
Thank you very much!

I’m hoping to resurrect this old thread. Others on this thread recommended bagaholic 101, which I couldn’t find, but I did find a site called bagaholic (without the 101), which charges $20 for verbal authentication, more if you want a certificate or other extras. Has anyone used this site, and was it reliable? I bought a Gucci Diana bag off eBay which looked real in the photos, but now that it arrived, I’m not so sure.

I would be suspicious (knowing how many have used permutations of 'papaertiger' elsewhere that most certainly were not me.). The same/similar non de plume means nothing.

For legal recourse, you'll need authentication in writing from a professional service.

Hi everyone! I'm also looking for a recommended site to authenticate my Gucci bags. When googling Bagaholic101, this site came on top: https://b101revue.com/.

I clicked instagram link on the website and it says they formerly called Bagaholic101 and now changed to B101revue (https://www.instagram.com/b101revue).

Can anyone confirm if this is the one? Thanks in advance!!
