Gucci at Heathrow Airport

I'll be flying from NYC to Heathrow in June. Does anyone know how much I'd be saving? With exchange rate, am I still paying GBP or USD? Thanks!

The price at the airport is tax-free GBP.

As things are right now, it's very hard to know how much you'll save But most likely you will get a good deal.

You pay GBP and you’ll get a get a good deal with the VAT savings. I saved $100 US on the smallest size marmont belt.

Interesting. But with the exchange rate it might end up just being the same. Maybe I'll buy online from Neiman and get 10 percent off and call it a day.

Its definitely less if you’re from the US and buy in Heathrow. The same belt was $350 + tax US and I paid $250

Buying from the airport at Heathrow is much cheaper and saves you a lot! I purchased the GG marmont mini flap bag in navy (velvet) and paid $1288 for it. If I purchased that bag in NYC it would have cost me $1732 and that’s with including tax. Gucci at Heathrow is tax free so it’s still cheaper than buying it from a boutique in London and getting your VAT refund. Also: paying with a credit card is much better than paying with U.S cash. For some reason the exchange rate they use at the airport is much higher. When I purchased the bag I used my card and then it gives you the option to choose pounds or U.S currency. My SA said to hit the pounds button. I noticed that in many other stores where I did choose U.S currency through my credit card it was slightly higher than the pounds.

Conversion:

GG Marmont Mini Flap Bag (velvet) in the U.S costs $1590. With tax it is $1732.

The same bag on the UK site is £1160. Tax free at the airport makes the price £967 (£1160 / 1.2) which is $1288.

So essentially I saved around $444.
