Great day at Leesburg outlet

I couldn't resist today: I knew I was going to be at Tysons Galleria to meet my friends for some fragrance shopping at Art With Flowers so I carried my new Legacy plum suede Ali bag to show off at the Coach boutique. Sure enough, the second they saw me walk in, they all swarmed over to see my bag, and ask me where on earth had I gotten it? It was too fun to say "oh they just got them in at the Leesburg outlet store yesterday, and they were marked down to just a touch more than half retail." It's got to be frustrating for them when they don't even get the chance to sell those bags in their store, and then see me with it after it goes to the outlet, but they and I aren't the corporate decision makers who kept them from having any. They were surprised to hear that the patent gallery totes and the gold patchwork bags were also already at the outlet, but then I was pretty surprised about that myself. LOL

No more handbag buying for a good long while. Shopping ban now in effect. (sniff) Happy New Year!

Wow - congrats! I have the plum legacy shoulder bag, but had to pay full price for it. At least I don't live anywhere near that outlet, so hopefully, I didn't miss out on any HUGE deals!

I remember you were just about the first one to buy that plum legacy shoulder bag. Today at the outlet I saw a lot of those bags in both plum and charcoal and I was tempted. I noticed that the metallic was rubbing off on several of the bags. You could actually see many areas of the trim that looked like it had been scratched/rubbed off. Is that happening with your metallic trim?

^^^highonhandbags - that has not happened to mine at all! Admittedly, I baby mine since it's suede, but I did see what you were talking about on some display models. I know that with metallics in general that can happen (I just can't resist it sometimes! LOL!)

Glad to know that yours is doing well. I would hate for that to happen especially when you paid full price for it. I have a legacy leather tote from a earlier this year in bronze which is really more of a pewter -- it is similar to a metallic but not quite. It is not like the metallic trim on the legacy at all and thankfully that bronze leather has held up well. I baby my bags as well -- as hard as that is to do!
