Thx for asking... Actually, I have no B/K and they offer B30 gold ghw. I requested it maybe last year. However, I bought barenia H, and I am satisfied with the Brown color. I'm thinking to skip this time and wait for another color which I still don't have (my 1 color policy)... I like bags with scholder band, specially cross body. So maybe Kelly is better choice for me? I think possible to wear Kelly cross body, or?

Another problem is, I buy on my own but My husbie is already mad about my shopping behavior... :( do you also have such problem with partner/family??

Any comment welcome!

nice they offer you B30 + GHW and you have the strong will to turn it down! i need to learn from you :0)
I buy my own bags too, no help money wise from hubbie, but he doesnt get mad, he help me choose colours. He learnt so much about H from me and my story telling lol
He will sometimes remind me by saying "do you really need another" which helps to keep me away from things i dont need!

@QuelleFromage thanks and yes i think I will be off to ban island on H bags for a while. and if barenia B turns up in future i will swap the barenia B with the gold B. ........... Am wearing my barenia halzan today and the leather odor is such a nice fragrance in my office now...
will be visiting the store tomorrow to have a look :) will update everyone

A word of caution.

Like everybody else I jumped up and down with excitement for you.
THEN I thought is it traditional Barenia or the new Barenia Faubourg?

Reading other postings and reported SAs advice, I would want to check out very carefully if B Faubourg performs in exactly the same way as the traditional B that so many of us admire, before I invested my money in a BF bag.

Good point and thank you for pointing this out - I believe it is the traditional barenia :smile:, i will know and find out tomorrow for sure :smile:

My advice is to think carefully about exactly when you will use this Kelly. A sellier Kelly 32 is a somewhat formal handbag. Barenia, IMO, divine though it is, is a leather that sings casual, cool, chic. Ideal in a Birkin or a retourne Kelly. I see you have never owned a sellier Kelly. It is a bit stiff and on the formal side. I love mine, but they are not easy for daily going around etc. imagine yourself leaving home, where you are likely going and wearing. Barenia is a leather that develops it’s own patina, and little signs of love. Ideal in a more casual handbag. Will you love that in a sellier Kelly? Does a sellier Kelly in the Barenia fit your lifestyle and your intended use for the bag? If yes, then this is a rare bag and you should buy it. If you are not sure then don’t buy it just because it is rare. However there is no doubt that it will be wonder to see when it comes out of the box. Breathtaking.

Thanks @bababebi , giving me something further to think about and consider. Very valuable advice! I will need to figure out soon and maybe I will know once I try and see the bag tomorrow.

I have several barenia bags and non barenia bags, I find that I would use barenia in the first month I bought the bag, then the barenia stays at home most the time and I reach for non barenia bags.

I don’t sell my bags, but organically slow down my collection by buying only directly from Hermes boutique and never buy from reseller.

Both B and BF look and feel relatively if not almost identical. The BF is slightly more durable but is NOT water resistant , unlike the B.

Just back from the store

What an amazing experience watching the K being revealed in front of my eyes, I was served by two staff :smile:
And the barenia leather smells divine as one would expect.
I was sold the moment I saw it, all lingering doubts dispelled. Will do a reveal tomorrow when there is daylight

ps I was also offered a PM rodeo which I declined since I have got one in a similar colour (but with horse hair and in MM)
