hello ladies and gents!

H is calling -- and I just got an offer from my store - K32 sellier in barenia + GHW
Need your advice to help me decide...

1. In a very ideal world, the #1 grail would have had been a B in barenia GHW, this offer comes very very close and the fact it has GHW and sellier is really making it difficult to resist! i wanted a K32 sellier for quite some time too and the fact it is barenia + GHW just may swing it. Should I turn down and wait for the B? I am going to FSH next month too! so decisions decisions decisions...
2. I am trying very hard to stick to my one in and one out policy. Looking at my collection already, which of the H bags should i (or if you were me, would you) let go?

Note: my H collection is below here in the signature. And yes, I do use all my Hermes bags, they are all in rotation!

I don’t see a link to your collection so I have no idea what to suggest to let go. Aside from that, it’s an amazing offer and a beautiful bag. Have you ever tried a sellier 32? A barenia? The bag will be hard to turn down but if it’s not what you wanted you should remain strong. It’s easy to say “get it!!!” But I think these bags should be given a lot of thought if they will work for you. Unless you are a deep pocketed collector, then most definitely get it!!
All that caution aside, I have this same bag and it is by far my most favorite bag and I’ve never regretted my decision. It’s a lifetime piece.

I am also feeling this offer if I take will be a lifetime piece, which I would not want to sell on.
yes I do love barenia leather and I currently have a barenia halzan and a kelly32 in togo (indigo); which I do use both!
so potentially I may let go the K i have now since i dont see point of keeping two kellys... though the one i have is a retourne (not sellier)

Does barenia kelly in sellier lose its shape over time?

PS - I do use all my Hermes bags , they are all in rotation!

The sellier is completely different from the retourne. If you use your togo retourne a lot, this bag will not replace it, the retourne has a daily ease that’s hard to give up. The togo is more weather friendly. I know barenia is fine in light rain but I wouldn’t purposely take it out in bad weather, while there is no issue with togo. Plus the indigo is a great, versatile color, you shouldn’t give that up. I think the two make a beautiful pair for a collection and stretch out the outfit possibilities.
My situation was similar when I acquired the barenia, I was strictly one in, one out. But the offer was unexpected and I use all the bags I have. I found a way to keep everything but the collection will have to stop here. If you think the barenia Birkin is your true desire and it’s reasonable to trade that for the gold togo Birkin, then you should wait. You just may be waiting a long time.

What an amazing offer! I have a vintage (1999) Barenia Kelly 35 that is retourne and it has not lost its shape, so I think a 32 Sellier will stay the same shape for a very long time.

I hope you get it! Not sure which bag to let go of, perhaps consider letting go of one of your Etoupe bags since I see you have that color in both a Bolide and a B35. I try not to duplicate colors but that’s just me.

+1! Since you love barenia, this sounds like a great addition. The sellier k is a completely different bag style from the retourne imo i dont think it serves the same purpose as your indigo k, no need to let either go if you will get use out of both. GL!

Hello azukitea! I always adore your handbag collections. I have an impression that you have similar taste to mine :D I have RG Lindy and Barenia Halzan, too. GP Camail is on my wish list :)

I feel a pity to let go of H bags, but if it is really necessary, I would follow the advice by catsinthebag. I try to avoid same color/material...(I know it is very hard).

I think your collection is very versatile and colors are amazing. But unless you dont use your gold B, and want to let it go, i wouldnt get barenia. I can imagine some member may say 'totally different bags', but to me they serve pretty much the same purpose. I totally wd get that K! Andkeep indigo one too. If you want to dwnsize, my candidates wd be one of etoupe bags and maybe barenia halzan - since u will hv your barenia kelly! Do a reveal pls!
