Goodbye Tiffany, Hello David...

I'm not familiar with Kieselstien-Cord and doubt there is anything in Cartier I can afford. Please don't make me google either, I don't need something else to add to my LIST!!!!

When I say "Hello!" I obsess over them more than I spend - I can't afford to buy everything I like! But I just keep looking and looking, and then take a small plunge.

Barry Kieselstein-Cord is a jewelry designer who specializes in "body sculptures" - stunning and innovative pieces. (Large!) His gold jewelry is far out of my range, (2K for simple 18K earrings) but he also has a "Sport" line in sterling which is on the upper edge of DY. So I occasionally indulge myself in sterling.
I also restrain myself because it is so hard to find! It's like Lee Brevard these days - you almost have to go to LA to shop for him.

Cartier, likewise has some less expensive pieces, but I shop more than I buy there too.

Thank you for the mini lesson! I love reading, hearing, being introduced to new things; especially fashion! Maybe I will get dressed up and stop by Cartier today to see what they offer that is "less expensive". Christmas is right around the corner!!!!

The necklace you picked out is beautiful and very wearable for everyday or for "special"! I am a true devotee of designer sterling/18K gold, and am blessed to own various pieces of David Yurman, Lagos, John Hardy, Judith Ripka, and Alwand Vahan. Some pieces I purchased on ebay (be careful!,) some from online consignment shops (try to get your items authenticated on tpf, if you can,) and yes, a few I spent real retail bucks for. While I prefer to wear a "suite" of pieces from the same designer, they are very easy to mix 'n match as well. My Tiffany? It's still pretty, but I love my other stuff MORE. (Doesn't mean I'm giving away the Tiffany sterling yet, though. DD's? Hands off! LOL.)
