Gold Rolex or Gold Cartier BB

Thanks for all the replies, really helpful. OK, I ruled out gold BB, doesn't make sense.
I got one more question, Gold Rolex or Gold Patek Philippe 24? I assume both are approximately in the similar price range? Since I don't think I will own a second gold (maybe with diamond) watch in the near future, want to get this right. Thanks for any advise/comments.

I know I said Rolex before, but I so love a Patek Philippe watch especially in gold. Remember the the Patek Philippe is quartz movement. A friend of mine has that watch in gold and it is really beautiful.

If you're getting the smallest size, definitely Rolex, which is always automatic. Cartier's BB 28mm is quartz, unlike the other sizes.
To me the movement pretty much is the most important deciding factor here.

between rolex and PP. I say Patek Philippe. I am not familiar at all with the price of PP but it's good to know that it's the same price range as gold rolex as you mentioned.
