It’s really not that bad and it is one of the unique characteristic to this type of leather. Knowing that there are pros and cons to this leather. Togo and clemence would not have this problem because they are more prone to losing its shape while Epsom holds its shape rather well.

Is there a specific reason you decided to choose Epsom? vs. the other leathers? Just curious, because this should determine whether you like or want to keep this bag. It doesn’t matter how we feel about Epsom, all the matters is whether this is the bag/leather you want. However, if you don’t have any preference, I personally would not pick Epsom. Looks sloppy to me in larger B’s

I must say I haven’t seen many Epsom birkins so I couldn’t gauge how much waviness would be expected. But I have asked other well known resellers and they believe it’s part of the Epsom characteristic too.

This is a b30! I use it for work so wanted a lighter, more durable bag which is why I went for Epsom. I’m definitely getting a b30 in Togo next!

Epsom leather is the worst in terms of refurbish/SPA as @lulilu mentioned and Birkin easier to get corner damages. Once you get it scratched you will have to live with the scratches. There are fewer light weights options and Chèvre could be the best for durable, light weight and retains its shape but harder to find. I have togo in size 30 and I don’t think it’s heavy at all for work. Also the condition of the Gold Epsom B30 being just one year old, I am little surprise to see it aging not too well.

Just only one year old for this bag ??? If that’s true with Hermes epsom leather then my wishlist never have epsom then .
