So have a question. I recently purchased a K25 rouge casaque Epsom sellier. I didn't think I was interested in sellier (more of a retourne girl). I was interested in rouge casaque but I don't normally wear red, accessories or clothing but I feel like I should branch out and red is so classic. But in a K25 in color and style that seemed special so I grabbed it. Do you think I made a good decision? I know it's personal but thought I'd ask anyway.

That is a gorgeous bag! You should definitely keep!! Btw I would love to see pics [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]

May I ask what is bothering you about this purchase? Is it the sellier corners? Its rigidity? The leather? Or simply the fact that k25 is too small?

Thank you for asking. Actually a lot of those things. That answer sounds like I don't want the bag but I'll try not to be long winded and explain. First I think the whole thing caught me off guard because in my mind I was thinking retourne, size 32 or maybe 28, Togo, maybe clemence leather in a more neutral color or purple (which I know they aren't producing much of lately). I have a BBK 32 that I love but don't use as much because of my lifestyle and young kids. I won't give it up because I know as kids get older I will get more of an opportunity. Also for a long time I felt like the box leather was so stiff. So I wanted a similar size with a softer leather. I also was thinking in my mind that I would try to get a B25 in a red color. The only other red in my collection is Rouge H which I find easier for me to wear but they are in more casual styled bags.

Fast forward to the K25...sellier style, less casual, Epsom leather which my last couple bags have been, a bright red which I normally don't wear and it is a little stiff. But I know a K25 is so cute and if I got a bright color I guess smaller is better. A couple years ago I passed on the rouge casaque K28 retourne but always felt like maybe I made a mistake. So now I have this one and hope I didn't make a mistake getting it.

I know I wanted to definitely add a smaller bag or two in my collection because many of my other ones are larger. I also know that I will come across a neutral K32 in the future. So I went for it because a K25 may not come again since I don't see it very often. Of course it didn't dawn on me that size was even an option. I should also mention it is with ghw.

Lastly, I think I am buying for future me a little but at the same time I feel like maybe I won't regret it.

Sorry, this turned out long winded and I'm rambling. Feel free to share your thoughts. Thanks.

I totally understand what you are talking about. As your second K, you wanted to search for something you can actually get some mileage out of. I am a retourne gal myself, it just has this softer silhouette that is easier to use and softer on the hands. Sellier is a special bag, but I feel it would be best suited for moms like us on special occasions. Acquiring H bags is a bit of a journey. We find out what colours work for us, what size, style... we sometimes make expensive mistakes because we are only given what's on offer. I can say I now prefer k28s and would probably not acquire another 32. It just has enough room but looks more proportionate on me.

If the kelly is not a bag that you just want to own and be over with the brand, there will be many more to fill the gaps. K25 sellier might be a bag you buy for the future but your k is a good choice in terms of color, hardware and shape. It is truly a great red. I am not sure how old your kids are but I sometimes carry a separate bag for my younger one. If you still wheel around a stroller you could just hang it on the stroller and wear your k25 on the shoulder. What do you think?

If I could add... If, and only if you are still looking for a deeper, more wearable red, have a look out for the new red rouge grenade. I think it is a great alternative to rouge h in that it is just as deep but less brown. A pomegranate red.

Thank you so much for understanding me! I have been collecting H for awhile but not Kelly's. Of course I wait til when it is harder to get. Ugh! I guess my bag collection has been evolving as my life changes. If I had to do it over again I would build a proper capsule collection. I was captivated by MYH's capsule collection that I really want to think it through and not make expensive mistakes. I also have to keep reminding myself that I have a lifetime to build this collection (sort of lifetime) and not so must have right now.

I think I will keep the K25 because down the line it will have a place in my life and I think like the specs. Perhaps I was uneasy because everything about it was unexpected and out of my usual comfort zone. In true past I have collected tons of blues, gray, a couple purples, black, gold and rouge h. Ultimately my dream Kelly collection would consistent of 4 total. So far it's a 32 and a 25. Would definitely love a 28. And 4th, not sure if 32 or 28. I appreciate your comments about the 28 and it's good to know for the future.

Does this plan make sense?

I hardly reach for my birkins now. There is something so feminine about the kelly... and I love love love the strap! Please allow me to share my small kelly family. I am waiting for two more to come as SOs. 💕

Wow, I don't know which 28 is more gorgeous, the croc or the pink, OMG, what a beautiful collection of Kelly's, all gorgeous:smile1:

4 is a great number to have in your collection. Judging from your color selection, it seems like you like blues and purples (if you are looking for color in your Ks). How about a blue k28 with hopefully GHW for your next after you leave ban island? K28 is such a great size, even if you do decide on a brighter shade. But if you are after a rainbow of H then maybe a lovely green next? Or even a teal color like blue paon?

Once you've got all three sizes in your collection, you can then comfortably decide on your fourth. To go larger or smaller, stiffer construction or soft. Just that final one to round off that gap and fulfill whatever occasion the 3 does not. What do you think?

I think we are H crazy and addicted! Lol! Just got a beautiful bag and already planning the next. Ha ha! Fun!

Love your thinking! My dream bag would be a beautiful purple K28. I would love a blue but feel like I have so many blue H bags that I was trying to branch out. Would love a rainbow of H but I haven't seen a green lately that I am as comfortable with. I have one green H that is special and Chances are that it may stay that way. But never say never with H right? Hard to turn down a beautiful K28 in blue or green. So maybe you're right that I should wait to see what the best 4th bag would be. Hmmm... Am glad I have something t look forward to.

Thank you so much! It was fun chatting with you. If any other thoughts come your way feel free to continue to share.
