Hi everyone! I’ve never had a givenchy before but the pandora recently came on my radar so I ordered a small in goatskin and am really liking it the more I get to know it. But researching it and trying it on a bit more I’m finding that the handle is just a bit too short when worn on the shoulder (my preferred carry style) and the strap is just a bit too long when worn cross body, and these two issues may bother me in the long term. So I’m thinking about returning and getting a medium instead which I love the photos of (especially carried on shoulder), but the issue there being I don’t typically use such large bags and this would be the biggest in my everyday rotation. I’ve researched this a lot and gone through quite a bit on this thread and know people’s love for both, I am just hoping for a bit more guidance on what you’d do in my situation given what you know and experience with either or both of these sizes. ). Didn’t you think about buying a nice adjustable separate strap?
It sounds to me like neither one is right for you, and sometimes that happens, as much as we love a certain look or design. If you can, try them both on in person and decide then. Good luck!

You’re totally right - I think part of it is because it’s currently winter and I’m usually wearing bulkier clothes, so I’m considering primarily using this for summer wear as an option for the shoulder carry part. And also im thinking about how to shorten strap - I’m waiting for a D ring from Amazon (which is bigger than the current original givenchy one) to put on one of the sides so I can loop the strap through it and clasp on the same side as the other clasp, that way it shortens it by a few inches and may be more comfortable. Just don’t know if I’ll feel like that’s compromising too much. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Haha that’s the truth and maybe why it’s so hard for me atm. Possibly I’m trying too hard to make it work but I also really love it! You’re right, planning to go to NM to try on medium today. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I’ll let you guys know what I end up deciding!
I have a small and I can wear it comfortably on my shoulder. If I have a coat on I don’t mind hand holding it or using the long strap. I’m tall so the long strap work for me but have you considered buying a different strap or have a cobbler shorten the long strap for you?
I took my Small Oxblood Pandora out this weekend! I love this bag--it's so easy to carry! 
The Pandora popped on my radar a few weeks ago and 2 days ago I found a pre-loved, medium, Pepe leather bag in charcoal that looked like it reeeaaallly belonged on my arm
This is my first luxury bag (value >$400). I searched several resale sites and found (then bought) this bag from Linda’s Stuff via ebay. It seeeems reputable and it’s been authenticated by Real Authentication, for whatever that’s worth (hopefully it’s worth what I paid for this bag ). However, after looking thru some of the telltale signs listed on this thread, I’m a little concerned.
Regardless, it looks gorgeous and I simply CANNOT WAIT to get it!!

I’ve been looking at this bag on eBay from an individual seller. It looks good to me, but I’ve never (yet) owned a Givenchy bag. I’m going off all the information I’ve been able to glean from this amazing forum in previous posts.
I’m not looking for an authentication, but I know there are a few wonderful people that have owned several Givenchy bags that might be able to see red flags or telltale signs of authenticity that I otherwise wouldn’t know about.
Any advice, help, or suggestions would be very very appreciated!!! >3

On which purse? Are there rotating hinges on the attaching hardware, or are the straps attached directly to the bag?
My very first Givenchy just arrived! It’s a medium Pandora in charcoal Pepe leather and it’s just SO PRETTY
The bag itself is a gorgeous (dare I say perfect) taupe color, and it’s in better condition than I expected for what I paid for it.
I was disappointed by the strap that came with the bag, though. It’s pretty obvious that it’s not the original strap since it’s a different color leather, the texture is wrong, and it’s much wider than the straps I see in photos of other Pandoras like mine.
The purse itself is worth what I paid, so I’m leaning toward accepting the bag as it is…but the fake or mismatched strap makes me doubt the authenticity of the bag altogether.
What would you do if you were in this situation?
Side note: I’m in my 40’s and I’m finally in a place where I can spoil myself a little, but it’s pretty embarrassing how little I know about the world of luxury items. I’m thankful for this thread and how much I’ve learned here in such a short period of time!

It’s possible that is the strap for that bag but if the original owner never/rarely used it then it will not fade or wear to match the bag. It looks like my strap and the strap looks like my bag color. It’s also possible they sent you the wrong strap but it looks like my Givenchy strap color and texture. I think my pandora pepe leather is called cognac or whiskey (can’t remember). I have also seen the charcoal color be more brown and more gray. I’m assuming the color variation is dependent on wear. To me it just looks like strap hasn’t seen the light of day as much as the bag has. Hope that helps.

Ms. Dixie, thank you so much for putting my mind at ease about the strap! In all the photos I’ve seen if the charcoal panda, it always seemed that the strap was the same color. So it never occurred to me that the strap would be a different color. I’m relieved to know I didn’t get swindled!
