I think someone reminded him of the gifts that top athletes get at each stop in a final season, and he realized he made a mistake not making the announcement early enough to cash in on that. He realized all those teams weren't going to just ship the gifts to him -he has to show up and play in each city one last time.

IDK, but Aaron Rodgers just signed onto a 200 million contract, so maybe Brady thinks he could get a few more (huge) bucks. He isn't young anymore, but he's kept himself in shape with a super strict diet along with his exercise program. Still, he isn't that young anymore and the risk of injury rises. I find it odd that he changed his mind this quickly, as though he wasn't serious to begin with. As for Gisele, she's been around for a long time and seems to be a smart person. Unlike other celebrities, I'm not aware of anything she's said or done that you could call "stupid", like eating chips like a squirrel.
If they both went to the Super Bowl, it'd have to break all records of number of viewers to watch a TV program. Quite the match up! Though I'd probably still not watch, I have no interest in football regardless who plays.
They both couldn’t go because they are in the same conference. Either Aaron would go or Tom would go if they played each other….Thats why Tom coming back could potentially affect Aarons chances…

. At least I can identify a football when I see one. And that about covers my knowledge of football. DH enjoys football although our Bears have been a letdown. I'll give it to Brady, seems he's obsessive about his health and being married to a woman whose career demands a perfect figure gives him extra thought to food.
a kindred spirit....I couldn't care less. sometimes I watch the Super Bowl if there's a party. But even then I'm usually not engaged in the game except at the end.

I’m not surprised by what they eat at all. Going into the article I assumed it was a lot of grains and god forbid no nightshades. But hey, they both get paid to be the best of the best so it makes perfect sense.
When I was growing up boxing was still a very popular sport. I remember almost all of the most famous boxers of the 70s and 80s would say they were going to retire only to come back at least once. When athletes truly love their sport they cannot it let go.
I remember Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra and Cher announcing their retirement and going on farewell tours, only to come back a year or so later. They missed the accolades I guess.
I thought I’d bump this because 1) today is the first day of football season; and 2) the Bradys’ marriage seems to be hanging by a thread.
Gisele is not attending the game tonight. Reportedly she is pissed about him changing his mind about retirement. However, since he changed his mind way back in March I suspect there is more to it than that. Anyway, the pretty couple who have always seemed a little too perfect and a lot too obnoxious are going through a rough patch. If there is a divorce announcement in the coming months it won’t be a surprise.

Oooooh - I half expected her to show up at the game, if just to keep people’s tongues from wagging. He has made several comments over the summer about the “sh*t” going on in his personal life. For the sake of their kids I hope they can get past this.
