it was boring
and I don't think maroon five are big enough for the superbowl
the sports guys on tv were spinning it as a great game. giselle will say same

All of this.
I actually switched off during the second half and watched something else, switched back a couple of times to see if the score had changed. The half-time show nearly put me to sleep, it had to be the worst SB half-time show ever... it would have been more entertaining watching paint dry.

I won't be happy until Queen play the SB half-time show and Missy Elliott deserves her own half-time show too, not just a feature.

Adam Lambert has been the lead touring with them and he sounds amazing with Queen. He's not trying to be Freddie at all but he sounds great with the band and he respects the songs so he does them justice. The band also seems to have good chemistry with him. But I also like Adam Lambert so I might be a bit biased. lol

You know I'm right there with you about Queen and Missy Elliot. I'd like full on Outkast too. Hell put all 3 of them in one show. LOL.

I only kept watching because I had so much money riding on the game in so many different pools. It was absolutely painful to watch though.

Agreed. Maroon Five was such a last ditch attempt to salvage the HTS and it showed. Think they really banked on Cardi B accepting but she declined. Everyone turned them down, rightfully so, the NFL brought that on themselves.

Maroon 5 tours the world. They are not Coldplay. I am not a fan but I don't know why people thought they were not a sufficient headliner for the halftime show. Didn't they just have the #1 song in the world for two months?

As for Brady. THE GOAT. What else is there to say.

they may tour the world but they aren't on a par with most of the other halftime performers IMO

Personally, I like Maroon 5 but the song selection they chose and their performance was just a boring for a HTS. Then Sponge Bob came out of nowhere to introduce Travis Scott's inaudible, out of breath and disjointed performance. A wack marching band and a chorus came on stage to sing A Girl Like You. More slow songs, then Boom! Big Boi. :lol: It was disjointed, had no energy and not well constructed....there was a lot of pyro on stage to distract from the horrible performance.



ETA: I shouldn't call that school's marching band wack...I'm comparing them to an HBCU band and that's not fair.

I expect that for the 2019-2020 season the NFL will figure out a way to dampen the controversy for the sake of the ratings.

There were hardly any penalties called on NE. While Brady didn't play his best last night and I thought he looked terrible out there, he's a beast and there's no denying it. At this point in football, I don't know what a pass interference is anymore or what a good tackle is supposed to be....the ref calls are unreal.

Outkast would rock it. My two all-time favourites superbowl acts are Prince and Lady Gaga.
