I'm really annoyed with this.
Is he a great football player? Yes
However. I am convinced he knew this went on. Who demolishes a phone during a time like this if you're innocent.
And why would ball boys deflate without him knowing? Knowing damn well they would be fired if he found out and blamed them for having an 'off day'


My dad is convinced he signed a deal with the devil saying "nobodies life is THAT good...now he gets to crawl into bed with his super model wife and super bowl rings" lol

As I understand it, the ruling had nothing to do with Brady being guilty of anything with the footballs, it had to do with Roger Goodell's handling of the matter. I still think Brady knew and approved of the deflation but Goodell held a kangaroo court in the NFL that didn't hold up to the standards of our justice system.

I'm not a fan of Tom and Gisele but I'm really not a fan of Goodell, the NFL commissioner. I think he's an empty suit trying to show he knows more than he does.

I'm confused. If a state or federal employment law hasn't been violated, why would a public court have jurisdiction over an issue related to an employee disciplinary action?

I think Goodell is smarter than we think.
When you read how bad he messed this up with the charges he chose and punishment.
NFL had to know his ruling would be overturned.
Now Tom Shady can open the season against the Steelers and the world is better. :laugh:

I'm not a lawyer, but I believe after handing down the punishment, Goodell/NFL and the players' union were in arbitration about it, couldn't agree and requested a judicial decision. The NFL even filed in a district they thought would be favorable to them and not favorable to the players' union. Some of the issues were not giving all their *evidence* to Brady's people and not allowing Brady's team to cross-examine. Mostly it was that Goodell punished Brady for being generally aware that others may have tampered with the balls and nowhere in the contract/rule book is *being generally aware of* someone doing something a punishable offense.

That's undoubtedly more than anyone cares to know about this case. Play ball!

Me too! People take their sports WAY too seriously.
Wasn't there a Free Brady rally a couple of months ago? I mean, come on...

I didn't really care about deflategate one way or the other. I just want to stop hearing about it!
